Maki Minami, the creator os S.A and You're My Girlfriend, has created a new short story called Batsusan. It premiered in issue 24 of Hana to Yume, November 20th.  Here's what I can tell from the story so far:

The first page shows pictures of the main female character's past.
She looked like an outstanding little girl who participated in many
events. Then it skips to present time.

Two schools, an all-boys school and an all-girls school, are planning
a Christmas party. The student body president of the all-boys school
looks like he's a pretty energetic guy. He looks absolutely confident
that he and the boys will do a good job. His last name is Fujino. I
can't tell what his first name is though...the image is too small to
see his first name! Oh, and he's a second-year.

Meanwhile at the all-girls school, the student body president is,
uh...trying to give the girls a boost, but the poor girl looks
nervous beyond words. She starts to shake so badly that the teacher
tells her that it's fine and she doesn't have to try anymore (poor
girl). Her name is Sono Hanada (or Hanada Sono if you prefer Japanese
ordered names with last names first, then first names). She's a first-
year.

So...that's all I can say right now. I don't know when we're ever
going to see the whole story. But it looks interesting, doesn't it?
