YES! SA Special A has been licensed in a country outside of Asia! I was so excited about it, I just had to announce it. It's being released in August 2007, by Carlsen Comics-in Germany (it must be Germany because...the language the announcements are in look like it's German).
I wonder...if it does well there, will one of the companies in North America get it too? Heh...that would be awesome. Not that I have anything against any of the other companies, but I want Del Rey to get it!
Tokyopop would probably do a good job on it since they slowed down their releases (for better translations or editing...?). However...argh-I don't know! If Shojo Beat (VIZ) got it, it would be fine too--all depending on where it's featured! If it's serialized in the Shojo Beat magazine, then they can take time to translate a chapter or two a month instead of a whole book in 1-3 months. If it's not featured in the magazine, then it's most likely going to go on a 2-month release schedule, which could rush editing and translating. Plus it depends on where the series is in Japan. Let's say it's only to volume 9 and it's released here on a 2-month schedule. It would catch up pretty quickly (it's what happened to Ouran High School Host Club and a number of other series done by other companies).
Anyway...sorry I went off topic, but I had to speculate...forgive me!
