I have series that I love, but there are also certain volumes I love more than others, within that series! I'm sure it's already been pointed out with my profile info. (Furuba 19, Sa vol. 6). Anyway...I'm going to give a list of certain volumes I see as my favorites.
Rave Master: Since all the volumes haven't been released, I can't say this is exact, but I think it's volume 9. Call me evil, but it's true! (If a reminder is needed...volume 9 is when Haru and his dad face King. The past of the two Gales is revealed...and both Gales also suffer deaths. King ends up stabbing himself to release himself from the monster he turned himself into, and Gale Glory dies protecting Haru from a cave-in. Wouldn't it be horrible to have your parent die on top of you--protecting you? It would be for a good cause, but it would still be tragic.) Maybe it's my favorite because it's the first time Haru cries in Elie's arms. I'm a fan of the two, you can't blame me! (By the way...has anyone figured out who Elie is yet...? I know, I know!)
Fruits Basket: Volume 19. It's not a very hard one for me. I like this one because of the Kyoru-ness in it. In the first chapter of this volume, Tohru realizes she feels more for Kyo than she ever intended to. Part of Shigure's true personality is revealed to her too (spooky~). Chapter 109, which is the next chapter, reveals a bit of Tohru and her father's past. Kyo talks with her grandpa throughout and it's revealed why Tohru talks so humbley--to imitate her father. Kyo brings up the subject with her that evening while she's hanging laundry. She just breaks down saying what she thinks of her father and of herself. Kyo reaches out to her behind a sheet that's hanging and comforts her. If you stay tune after the chapter, you can see a scetch of Tohru and Kyo after they hugged through the sheet: Kyo is in his cat form looking like he saying, "The perfect moment has to bring this up, darn'it!", in his mind. After that, the two get awkward near each other and Yuki can't handle the pressure in the atmosphere, which makes me laugh! We get to see "grown" Momiji in this voluem too. Heads up for all those Cute Momiji fans--Momiji is HOT now! Lastly...Komaki is introduced. She's such a cutie.
Kodocha: Volume 3. This is when Mama's biography is published about Sana. I like the part when Akito came and pillaged all those reporters with his bike and rode back out with Sana on the back. I believe it's that part that gets me--it's so cute, yet funny at the same time. I haven't read the series in two years, so I can't say what else I love about it.
Ranma 1/2: ....Which volume do I love the most? There's so much!!!!! I think it's volume 23-24. Are those the volumes when Akane runs away to fight monsters and meets the boy who saved her life years ago? If they are, then those are the ones. I like the part when Ranma misunderstands what Akane said. He's like, "Oh yeah? Oh Yeah? Oh yeah? Well...you're an idiot AKANEEEEEEEEE!"
Naruto: Volume 9. Yet another volume 9...what's with the 9...? I believe I like this because of Hinata. Hinata is this low self-esteemed, weak girl. Her she is, deciding to fight someone who's clearly out of her league, not to win, but to help change herself. Plus this is when Naurto really sees who she is and...heh...I'm a Naruto/Hinata fan. That, "I vow to win" thing really made me go, "Boo ya! Go Naruto, show him who's boss!"
Bleach: Volume...huh...hard to decide...what is the one with the one "evil ghost fighter"? The one that goes, "Bohahahahahahaha!" Whichever volume that's in, it's that one! I find that man annoying, but I like Ichigo opposing seeing him. Plus this man calls Ichigo his "#1 fan" and he's like, "What did you say? No way...don't do that. I don't want to be a member of your fan club!" (Not exactly what he said, but...).
Special A: Volume 6. This is when a real conflict is introduced. Yes, REAL conflict! It seems that up until this point, each chapter had it's own plot, it's own problem, it's own resolution. Volume 6 introduces one conflict that will probably lead into suffering later on. Kei's future is planned out by having him go to London, but he's refusing to go. His grandfather, who is a member of the Takishima branch in London, sends someone to find why Kei is refusing. Of course, he finds out it's because of Hikari and Aoi, the man who was sent, tries to get her to move out of the picture! Kei, who heard from Akira that Hikari hadn't gone home yet, knows exactly where she is and goes there. He finds Aoi standing in front of Hikari, she's against the wall, and she has tears in her eyes. Now...what do you think Kei would do in this situation? Heh heh...he punches Aoi's face in! I love that part! I like seeing Kei's different expressions and seeing him absolutely furious like this satisfies me.
These are actually the series that I like the most right now, so this is all I'll list.
