Okay...so I don't know why I brought this up in my mind the other day, but I did! I asked myself..."Why is it called the Manga Revolution?"
I thought about it and came up with one answer: more manga is being licensed and published more than any time in the past 20 years, in North America. Just a few years ago...like 2001, there weren't a whole lot of manga out, right? I look back in 2000 and Tokyopop had only a few graphic novels available! VIZ had more out, but still not a lot.
I think it was in 2003-2004 that manga really got rolling, right? Heh heh...It was this time that best-sellers like Sergent Frog, Fruits Basket, Hana-Kimi, and much of the others came out.
I wonder how much more popularity will come out for manga? Hopefully more of my favorites will be released here!
