It's happened....

All One Piece fans out there, this is for you. I must ask first, how devistated were you when you found out One Piece was taken by 4Kids? Did you scream with excitement or despair? (I personally was excited, but only because I didn't know the true nature of 4Kids back then.)

Were you looking forward to hearing their dubbed voices? (I was, for sure.)

How many were disappointed when you heard Luffy's English dub voice? (I personally thought it didn't suit him, but I got used to it after five episodes.)

 How many people stopped watching it after seeing one or more episodes? (I had to stop after the Miss Kaya episodes, truly!!!)

How many fans are now outraged with what 4Kids did with the One Piece anime, turning it from a 13+ to a 7+, turning sexy Sanji into a plugged-up-nose voiced man, and deleting whole episodes? (I hated it.)

How many were happy when 4Kids announced they would stop the anime? (I found it as a "serves them right for altering it" thing.  However, there are probably still many many One Piece anime fans out there that watched the 4Kids dub, right? So what about them? Plus, 4Kids still had rights to it until 2009, so in the meantime it was unsure when the One Piece anime would return.)

Now...how many fans would be delighted to hear that One Piece is returning? This time, being released and produced by FUNimation Entertainment? (They won't go back and redo the episodes that 4Kids has already done, but man, oh man, I sure do love the news! They say that a whole new dub cast is being selected, uncut DVDs will be released, and edited TV versions will air on Cartoon Network later this year. Now...isn't it cool?)

Hopefully FUnimation will do a good job that may, in the future, bring One Piece popularity to a higher level.
