i think for me it would be the characters in the book. take angel sanctuary for an example, the guy is completely head over heels for his sister and was ashamed of it because people thought it was wrong. after it finally got out he was finally able to say it without any shame coming to his face and not caring wether he would got to hell or not. so i wanna say its the characters and how they develop in certain situations. setsuna took it like a man and owned up to it and was prepared to fight for anything just to see her. the fact that he doesnt sit down and cry about it for ever i think makes him a good character. those are the kind of stories i love to read about. and beserk....well beserk is just a huge series of manning the frak up because each vol release he got even more badass and more manly.

Manga and Anime give me what I cannot find in domestic comics and cartoons. Serious storylines, String Characters, Highly expressive illustrations. All without nessesarly looking like a drug trip.

Mine would be various things the characters are great whether they are a pervert or a ninja I love them! and the storylines are amazing and the whole idea that someone drew all of it and wrote the story is sweet too!! IT ALL AROUND RULES!!!!
