The man went over to where the voices had come from spotting Kiba first grabbing him up by the neck and slamming him against the wall. “I should kill you both right now!” “Please we were just here for drinks we saw nothing I promise!” “Why should I believe you I could let you go and you could walk out of here and have the cops after me in no time flat?” Kiba was so scared for his life he was having partial flashbacks of his parents car crash he was very young when it happened so it was still forming together in his mind so far he could only piece together the bright lights of the other car and the smell of blood and alcohol mixed together with the head pounding sounds of police and ambulance sirens. Kiba then saw Al getting off the ground and making a fist a start to swing the man turning around saw what was coming and dropped Kiba to the ground “NOOO!” he screamed but it was too late the man had connected to Al’s face first driving him back across the floor coming to a sliding stop into the wall. The man then grab Kiba and said to him “sorry but I am not leaving here without taking something first!” Kiba felt something cold and hard pressed against his chest then a loud band and a sharp piercing throughout his whole body as he fell to the floor and blacked out. Hours later he slowly woke up to a room filled with flowers and cards sitting by his bed was his grandparents and he came to notice that something warm was griping his hand but at the same time something wet and cold he looked to see someone holding tightly onto his hand. Looking up he saw Al with a smile on his face while tears ran down the side of his face then suddenly he burst out crying hugging him uncontrollably “I am so glad your alright I thought I was going to lose you!” Kiba as his acting as his usual self tried to lighten things up “god I don’t know what hurts more the wound or all your love and mushy feelings.” Al straitening himself sniffling and wiping away the tears said “you always have to be so darn cocky.” “If I didn’t I wouldn’t have such a great friend with me” Al “I will be your friend always and forever and you know that.” “Thanks” Kiba said “”how you doing I see you got a big bruise mark on your face” “oh I will be fine the swelling should go down soon the doctor said you were very lucky that you got here in the amount of time you did or you may not have been here now luckily the bullet didn’t hit anything too serious.” Kiba looked up and saw his chest had been rapped around several time with gauze bandage he tried to sit up “oh don’t do that the doctor says you need to lay down for a couple days or you may reopen the wound.” “Well its getting pretty late we’re going to head out.” “Al I am sorry I couldn’t protect you.” “Sorry you couldn’t protect me don’t be so silly if it wasn’t for my stupid actions during that whole fiasco you might not be in this position anyway just get better soon alright.” “Thanks Al.” Kiba’s grandparents and Al walked over to the door Al was the last one out shutting off the lights he took a couple seconds maybe to think he would wake up that he was still lying in his bed but no this was his first encounter with death and what could have been the loss of a friend he slowly shut the door. Kiba finally drifted off to sleep exhausting his brain with thoughts of how he could have better protected Al because he was so afraid to lose another person close to him and right before he feel asleep a few tears fell from his eyes.
