Ok, just to bring you fine people up to date with my life (if you're interested, that is >_<) things are really looking up! I mean, sure I'm feeling a bit tired from the 24/7 revision that I've been doing for my exams, but I have offers from all 4 universities that I applied to!

So, if all goes well & I get 3 Bs in my A-levels (I'm studying Spanish, English Literature & Biology at the moment), I'll be looking forward to 4 years in Sheffield studying Spanish, Russian & German for an interpreting course!

If I screw up Biology a bit (which I probably will, I'm not scientifically-minded), I'm off to East Anglia to study Spanish (surprised? lol), Arabic & British Sign Language.

These may sound a bit random (I hate that word, but its the best one I can think of in this case) but I've chosen a wide range of useful stuff deliberately. For example, there is a severe shortage of British Sign Language interpreters (i.e. people who understand it & are neither deaf nor dumb), Arabic for obvious political reasons, Spanish... Well, I've been studying that for years, so I'm not going to give up now & German (this is a really weak reason) because I'm a sucker for German poetry & industrial music!

On the non-academic side of things, I'm still basking in the glow of post-christmas over-indulgence. That pile of chocolate just isn't going down! ...Not that I'm complaining, lol. I got my first commision as a present too! (ok, its a toy ship, but I was hoping that someone wouldn't ask...)

My main present was a laptop & my parents were kind enough to throw a digital camera into the deal too! I'm wondering if they're trying to bribe me into staying at home rather than going to uni... I won't ask, for they are beyond my comprehension, lol.

So overall, its been a very profitable couple of months! ...Still no luck on the relationship side of things, but I suppose it would be unfair to have everything! lol!
