[Part 11]

            I was waiting at the school yard for what seemed like an hour. The sun was just setting when I saw a shadow walk down the sidewalk. “You the kidnapper?” I asked. I couldn’t see the man’s eyes but he smirked at me and stopped five feet away from me. He has short blue hair; he was taller than me by two or three feet. “Depends on how you define kidnapper.” He said smirking. “Who are you?” I asked crossing my arms. “Here’s a hint…I’m your mother’s friends son.” He said. “Yuki?!” I yelled. “Yeah…but Yuki is no longer my name. You see, after your sudden disappearance I changed my name, my hair color, and eye color.” He said looking up. This time I could see his eyes…he had icy blue eyes. “Then what’s your new name?” I asked. “You can call me Devlin.” He said smirking. “Why’d you change you name and appearance?” I asked. “I never liked the name Yukio…heheh…I never really liked my parents. I was actually happy they died in that ‘car accident’.” he said sarcastically. “You killed your own parents?!” I yelled. “Yeah…it was as simple as breaking a twig.” He said laughing. “You’re just like my dad. Tell me where my friends are…” I said through gritting teeth. “Don’t worry, they’re safe…for now.” He said as he began walking again. “What do you mean ‘for now’?” I asked and began backing away from him. “It all depends on if you’re willing to give up your powers to save them.” He said smirking. “I won’t give you anything until I see them.” I said still backing up. “Whatever you say Yukino.” He said then snapped his fingers. We were now standing in front of a large dungeon. I ran up to the door and Saki and Tsukasa were in the dungeon…and it looked like they were unconscious. “Do you swear you’ll let them go?” I asked. “I always keep my word.” He said smirking. “I’ll…I’ll give you my powers…but you have to let them go now.” I said looking at him. He snapped his fingers and they disappeared. “Where’d you put them?!” I yelled. “They are both at a home…when they wake up they won’t remember you, me, or anything that involved vampires, or any other creatures. They’ll just think they had a normal life, like any ordinary girl. Now, about our bargain. I believe you owe me your powers.” He said walking up to me. “H-how do I give you my powers?” I asked backing up the few steps I had before my back was against the dungeon door. “Simple…put out both your wrists.” he said stopping in front of me. I raised my wrists. He put out his hand above them and said something I couldn’t hear. Just then there was a flash of light…I looked down at my wrists to see the right wrist had a shape of a black rose. “H-how did you do that?” I asked. “You need the right spell to see the mark.” He said. “O-oh…now what?” I asked. He grabbed my right hand and pulled out a knife from his pocket. “Wha-what are you going to do?” I asked. “This is going to hurt.” He said setting the blade of the knife over the black rose. He slid the knife across my wrist cutting deeper as he went passed the rose. I cringed as the cut began to sting. The blood spilled off of my cut and dripped off my wrist. I yanked my hand away from his grasp as the blade cut the palm of my hand. “What the hell?!” he yelled at me. “I-I’m sorry…it was just reflexes…?” I said hesitating to give my hand back…but eventually he yanked back my hand grabbing the cut. I cringed as he pressed down on the cut…I tried hard not to yank my hand back. He pressed down harder above the cut making more blood gush out from it. I tried not to cry out in pain and yank my hand back…he looked up at me and saw me cringed at the pain and smirked. He snapped his fingers and a wine glass appeared in his hand, he held it under my wrist so the blood would drip into the cup. “Wha-what are you going to do with that?” I asked. “I’m going to drink it…this will give me your powers.” He said smirking at me. “S-so if you drink that then I’ll just be a normal human…?” I asked. “Yeah…you’ll just be a normal human…like you were before you found out about your powers.” He said as he lets go of my wrist, blood was still dripping from the cut, “Cheers.” He held up the cup then drank the blood. I looked at my wrist to see the rose slowly fading away. “Now then…why don’t you go to sleep?” he said smiling, as he waved his hand over my eyes and everything went black. “Éclair! Éclair! Wake up!!” I heard someone yell my name. I opened my eyes to see Matt looking at me. I sat up and looked around the room…it was Matt and my room. “W-what happened?” I asked him. “You fell and hit your head…” he said sitting down next to me. “Hey Matt you have a phone call…” Mike said walking into the room. “Thanks Mike…” he said and walked out the room. “I didn’t hear anything ring…” I said a bit confused. “Oh, hey Éclair…” Mike said walking up to me. “Hey…where is everyone?” I asked. “They’re at their house…” he said sitting down in the chair. “No I mean the vampires…” I said looking at him. “There were no vampires here…are you feeling well?” he asked placing a hand on my forehead and the other on his. “I feel fine…” I said getting out of bed. “Why would there be vampires here? We are hunters you know…” he said standing up. “Where’s Lumiere?” I asked walking out of the room. “She’s with Alex, why?” he asked following me. “But…she…how?” I asked. “Uh…he asked her out a while ago…are you sure you’re ok?” he asked looking at me like I was crazy. “Yes I’m sure!” I said then walked down stairs. “Alright….just checking….” He said following me. “Lumiere! Where are you?” I yelled through the house. She walked out of her room, “Hey Éclair!” she yelled and hugged me. “Come with me…” I said dragging her away from the room and back up stairs. “Hey…hey! What’s wrong?” she asked stumbling into my room. “Alright…” I began letting go of her hand, “I have something to tell you….” “Tell me what Éclair?” she asked looking a bit confused. “My name it’s not Éclair….it’s Yukino, you’re a witch and I am too but I had to give my powers up to save my friends….my father, he’s Satan and goes by the name Akito…” I said. She looked at me like I was crazy, “You must have hit your head pretty hard….I think we need to take you to the hospital…” she said grabbing my wrist. “No! I’m telling the truth…this is all fake….everything here is fake….I-I just want everything to go back to normal….I just want it all to end….” I said yanking my wrist back…..crying. “Éclair, what’s wrong? What’s the matter? If you don’t want to go to the hospital you don’t have to…please stop crying….” She said looking at me. “I-I just want everything to go back to n-normal…..e-everything….back…to normal….” I said right before I passed out.
