Daren gasped in the pain, the monster retracted his fist again, leaving a gaping, bloody wound in the middle of his body. Daren fell to his knees, Ryoma ran up to him. Ryoma then looked from the monster to Rayne. Rayne felt like she was about to cry. She felt guilty, I mean, come on, she should have listened, she should have just stayed and watched like she was in the room. It's her fault. If she didn't come into all this, she wouldn't have needed protection, she wouldn't have needed Daren to protect her and get hurt like this.

     “That's it? Anything?” Rayne grinned, she was pleased because she was pissed and can take it out on some poor monster. She said nothing at first, but then she raised her hand, she made sure that her hand was in the aim of the monster's head. She then grinned, “A storm of crimson blood rain down upon the killer and the killed, cry from the heavens and look down upon your prey. Give me the power to kill this giant bastard oh mighty goddess kill him now!” A big fireball again popped out of her hand, but this time she hit him, blew its head clear off. A big gush of blood came down like rain on everyone. Rayne was proud of herself, she defeated the monster without Serene's help, she felt something else inside her, like a new power, or strength. She also wondered who that person in her head was this time, she sounded more angry than Serene would, and she sounded older than her too. But she had no time for that, she had to get to Daren, he was bleeding to death. She went over to Ryoma, who was holding Daren on his lap, blood was gushing out of his chest, he was breathing slower and slower each minute, so Rayne knew she had to act fast. She knew that Daren didn't have enough time left and that he was going to die in a matter a minutes, she quickly ran over to him and Ryoma. When he saw her, he gave a her an icy cold stare, which told her to back off, but she knew that she had to save Daren. She went next to him, when he saw he gave her a regretful glance, like he was sorry for dying. Rayne put both of her hands over his chest, blood quickly covered her hands and she felt Daren slipping away from her, then she whispered, “Serene,” a big burst of light came from everywhere, everything seemed to glow and when she opened her eyes she was somewhere else, everything and everyone had disappeared, but then someone appeared before her, a girl dressed in black, she had black hair,pale skin and big black eyes.
