Bird had no idea when he was going to die, except that he had less than twenty-four hours to live.  It’s the same way with all the victims thus far.

Was [Emily Xhang] really insane? Was she faking? Was there some sort of hidden meaning in her nonsense? Who knows?

I certainly don’t.  =_=  Although, I went back and reread the chapter recently and it struck me how much some parts of it reminded me of Paprika…  Please don’t kill me, Kon-sama!  *falls on her knees*

Oh, random fact: The first version of that chapter took place in the Alaskan wilderness.

Yup.  Joseph is not telling the story chronologically, in case you hadn’t noticed.  I actually have to keep a timeline to make sure that I’m not referring to things that haven’t happened yet.  For those who care, the timeline for the chapters thus far is:
