Reviewing workshop!
I've noticed recently that, although the amount of fiction being posted in MLC is the same, there's been significantly less reviewing going on. I'm not sure if it's because people have less time or what, but I'd like to get some more reviewing. For this reason, I'm setting up this activity. Depending on how well it goes/how popular it is, it may become a more frequent occurrence...
Basic information:
When is this taking place? April 12 to May 12. You must sign up before April 12 to participate!
Who can participate? Anyone on the site who has at least one fiction posted. You do not need to be a member of Mostly Literate Clan to participate, but I recommend joining on general principles, since it's an awesome group of people.
What do I have to do? You have to write at least 4 constructive reviews for 4 different people who have signed up (for stories you haven't read before, obviously) before the month is up. You don't have to do one a week, so work at your own pace. If you don't know how to write a constructive review, I would recommend reading MrGBH's definitive blog on the subject.
How will you keep track of who has read what? Leave a comment on the blog or send me a PM containing the title of the fiction you read and the author and I'll add it to the blog!
How do I join? You can send me a PM or leave a comment on this blog!
What if I want a specific one of my works reviewed? Send me a PM or leave a comment on the blog telling me which one and I will note it.

okay, i've read zedr's snow and blood (the first chapter) are we supposed to be reading one post or one story? i'm up for either, i just want to make sure i provide what people are expecting.

Okay I would also like to sign up for this, I would like my "The Last Dragon " be the one read. I like to read fantasy type stories but will read anything.
I'll join. I'm interested in reading other people's stuff, i just generally spend the limited amount of time i have sifting through the options until i don't have any time to actually read. i also like to start at the beginning and finish stories i start and some here are really long. this should narrow my choices and give me some incentive. i've only got three stories up and one of them is only one chapter long. i don't really have a preference as to which is read.
I will join too. I need to be challenged to read more. Had a busy personal life lately. I just got away from reading. I have no preference to what is read. Though if you read my clan fiction and start in the wrong place..... Please remember some of this is really old *sigh but not as old as me* and some I am planning to do a total rewrite.
It's both reading and being read. Most people are willing to be read, but not to read, so I'm hoping to change that. (Plus, it might motivate me to do a bit of catching up on other people's fiction.)
I am so selfish in that I rarely get time to read stuff. I'll join, in order to force myself to do it (I work better with strict deadlines).
I'll sign up-maybe this will encourage me to look at more people's work. The main preferences I have in reviews to my work is that you read it in order, and that you consider the first "episode" (the first 6 or so chapters) as one entry...that I've been too lazy/attached to pops to amalgamate into one.
So, what is it we are signing up for, is it the reading or the being read part or both? At any rate it sounds like a good idea :) I shall try to attend it!

But for anyone who wants to read any of my fiction....please keep in mind that some of the stuff posted up there are veeeerry old....and is therefore not my best work, to say the least. *bows* I'm sorry, again.... But anyway, I look foward to participating. :)

okay, i've read mxskai's "spring has come." i think i'm just going to go ahead and plan on reading the full stories that i'm reviewing because, for someone who claims to have no time for this sort of thing, i seem to be doing a month's commitment in a week. i don't want to set the standard for everyone else, though, if one chapter was the only expectation. if that was the case, ignore my hyper-activity. well, don't ignore it...just don't...you get what i mean...i hope. don't mind me; i'm just crazy. today appears to be one of those days where my nerves are so high strung i'm in overdrive.
