Life is boring these days. After finished Death Note and MAR, I gotta cough up some money to get some Fullmetal Alchemist. and finish up ZOMBIEPOWDE. Luckily, I sill got time before Dragon Eye 3, Undertown 2, Kingdom Hearts II 2, and Phantom 4 all come out!
So I'm gonna take some time go over some of the stuff in Undertown that might affect the future.
Someone will die
As stated by Elder, in order for Sama's dad to be saved, someone will die. This dark final line really changed my whole view on the fuzzy-awesomeness of Undertown. I am expecting a fantastic story outta just this one line, so work hard I say!
Anyway, who should die? Personally, I think it's gonna be Joey P.P. Even though he was a traitor, he might come to his senses at the last minute and sacrafice himself so that Sama can be happy? Sounds good, right?
Well, there is the possibility that Eddie could die, too. He is a teddy bear, right? And think about it, if he died instantly, he would be just a teddy bear. That would work out, but I really would hate to see Eddie die. Let's forget that one.
But we can think that Sama could use the Sugar Stone to kill The Brain. That would work out, eh? I personally think it would be a good solution.
The Brain
Speaking of this guy, most people are going to think that he is a Dringling. I am all for it; the last (known) Dringling in Undertown! The Dringling who leads the Insect Insurgent! it all works for me!
Why else would Dringlings be mentioned? Just for a brief Teddy Bear Exodus history? Might be. But I am still going to think that The Brain is a Dringling. I am going to be suprised if he isn't one.
Rosetta Box
Five bucks says Sama finds this and has to spend the second half and the first half of volumes 2 and 3 trying to find a key to open this box. If I am right, this a great oporunity to go into an awesome second journey. The box can contain one of two things:
1. A tool used to locate the Sugar Stone
2. The Sugar Stone itself
I'm guessing it may be a tool to find the Sugar Stone. Based on what Mighty saw, the Sugar Stone may be huge. Of course, he could've been halucinating. After all, the insects were making him eat sugar.
But if it is a tool, it could be something like a sword. If the Rosetta Box is small, it could be a hilt of sticking out of the cushion inside the box. You pull it out, and its a lightless blade that can be used for fighting and finding the Sugar Stone. It could point and/or pull in it's directions when asked to.
Sama's Dream-like visions
Most likely just foreshadowing. But since they may be disturbing, they could be what may happen to Undertown if the Insect Insurgent finds the Suger Stone before he does. I'm guessing something like Lord of the Rings. Ya know, where Frodo looks into the Mirror of Galadriel and sees Hobbiton enslaved by Orcs. That's what I suspect.
New Animals
Wolf hunters, octopus pirates, and panda sumos: anything is possible! I'd like to see some pirates or ninjas, for one. I mean, octopus pirates would be awesome! You could put a torn up short on an octopus and put a bandana around his head. Then you give him an eye-patch and eight swords to swing around. That would be AWESOME!!!
As for the sumos, you could have giant fat panda bears wrestling eachother, while they give away a special prize. Maybe it's the key to open up the Rosseta Box? I dunno, its just an idea.
These are my personal thoughts on what the next two volumes should look like. Of course, I have no control over what happens. It's all up to the creative mind Jim and the amazing skills of Jake to make their story come to life!
