I no that everyone will proably think that I'm stupid for asking this, but can someone clarify what adult content is? it's a new addition and previously when i have posted up my stories, it hasn't been there. now, some of the chapters have swearing and blood in it, the sort of thing that would make a film rating a 15. can someone help me and tell me if these things count because i really don't want my account to be banned just beacuse i didn't know what it really meant!

There are word filters in place for the site, so if it's just language you are worried about, that's probably already taken care of. You wouldn't be banned if there is adult-content, unless you were blatantly breaking the rules. Mostly, things just get put behind an adult-content mark, and I have heard some people mention getting warnings. If you need specific feedback, I'd join Clamari's Mostly Literate Clan (MLC), and get the members to help you out. I really think it shows great responsibility and maturity that you asked, are aware, and concerned about this! Good luck with your fiction!

Adult content is a little something like porno... you know, detailed sex scenes and stuff like that? Swearing all the time, blood gushing bodliy-mangling kind of death.... Do you get what I mean? Things that make young kids go EEEEEKKKKK!!! or EWWWWW!!! or "Mommy? Is this how babys are born?"

It is for fictions that contain bad language, gory scenes or sex. Although for the language there are censors that change the words for you so that you can't say f*ck. Art that contains adult materials such as sex and gore should also be labelled as adult. By doing this you are preventing everyone under 18 to be able to see what you posted (providing they selected the "i want to see adult content" option on their profiles). For more information follow sixxx's advice or ask themischievousfox as she posted a blog once where she stated what adult content was.
