Epic Alert! Was the first thing I thought of after reading the first three paragraphs of thie piece. It could go on forever!This seems to echo the tree song trilogy (or maybe it is called something else now). The way this chapter has been opened places the reader sort of in the middle of the timeline of the story, or rather near the beginning of the timeline. The light reffrences to the past provide the rlevent background without coming off as try hard, or over whelming the reader with information. The tear shed by the oricle and the fact that he didn’t try to wipe it away, gives the reader a sense of gentle power. This contrasts with the later part starting with "It’s too late for me!" Where the strength of his power really comes across. However it was the ritual that really reminded me of the tree song trilogy. It gave me the sense of a primeval time, tat was elegant & modern at the same time.
