Miff and Lianna kept walking through the town in silence. They still held eachother's hand, walking side by side. Isn't this what I've always wanted? Lianna thought wistfully, So how come its not as nice as I imigined it would be? It was true; it seemed like Lianna had been friends with Miff for a long time, but the truth was she simply admired him from afar....why had he followed her? Why did he want to save her? He never cared..or never showed it at least. Deep down, Lianna felt a little hopeful about the new term "us." She looked down. No, there was no hope.

The stopped near a very large building, still damp with the rain. It was gray with many windows and it didn't look damaged. The sat at the door and leaned against the wall; hands still together. Lianna sighed and Miff looked at her questioningly. "Whats the matter?" She decided to just say it. "I didn't think you cared enough to save me..." She began. "I always thought I was just some other girl to you....well, I expect you would do the same for Sienna or Liam..." It was all making sense. Miff didn't care about her, he was just really nice. Miff shook his head. "I wouldn't have done it for Sienna or Liam. I did it for you." Lianna blushed furiously....was it because he did it for her? Or was it because he was blushing too? "Then why...? Why would you decide to be nice now? Of all the times we were put together in a hunt?" "It's not about being nice...." Miff said, getting to his feet and letting go of Lianna's hand. He turned to her and he looked so pained, like something was pressed on him that he couldn't lift, something he didn't want to say or admitt. "Lianna..." She nodded slowly. "I am about to tell you something nobody knows. If you tell anyobdy, I'll never forgive you." Lianna nodded fiercely and got up to stand next to him. She put her hand on his arm and he didn't flinch. "Tell me..."
