Chapter 1:

          She said “Hello. My name is Sasha. What’s your name?” She stepped a little closer than she heard him say in a quiet voice “Matt. Where am I?”  She stepped a little closer and said “You’re in my apartment and sleeping on my couch. I found you in an alleyway. What were you doing there anyway, its winter.” “I didn’t know. I was banished here by my people.” She was confused “You were banished? Where do you come from? And what are you? Who are your people?” He answered “Yes. I come from a village called Sakin. I’m the only demon among people. My people are villagers that migrate all over the place.”

 “Okay now I am really confused. There is no village around here named Sakin. From my text books and all of the reading I’ve done your village doesn’t exist anymore. I’m sorry but here, here’s the page I learned it didn’t exist anymore.” He looked over the page and almost started to cry. It was burnt to the ground in the year 1125 by the demons of the North Mountain. - The Researcher’s Guide. He nearly through the book across the room into the wall. She went over to pick it up but stopped when she heard him crying. He just couldn’t keep it in. “That was my twin sisters 12 birthday.” He just couldn’t stop crying. She went over to him and gave him a hug. “I’m so sorry. Maybe I shouldn’t have showed you that.”  He nodded “Its okay. I needed to see that because I know by the scenery that I’m not where I was before.” “Well I got to go take a shower. Do you think you will be okay?” He nodded and she left him.

She came out 10 minutes later and found him asleep. She went to her floor where she slept last night and fell asleep. She woke up to something falling. She sat up as fast as she could and saw that Matt was trying to make something. “What are you trying to do? Burn my apartment to the ground!” She nearly screamed. He jumped back far enough to go through the wall “I’m sorry. I was trying to make something to thank you for saving me in the alleyway.” “Here, let me help you then. This is how you work the stove and oven.” She showed him how to use and cook with the stove and the oven. They cooked omelets and toast. They sat and ate in quiet. Then finally she asked “Why did they banish you here and not some other place?” He thought “I don’t know. Why did they send me here?”

He thought to himself for a minute and said “I don’t really know why.” She respected his answer and asked “What was your family like?”  He thought and said “I had two sisters. They were twins. They did everything together. And it is very rare for people in my village to have twins. It is a symbol of bad luck. It was my sister’s birthday when I was sent here. To this place you call home. I wish I could go back and see what happened and how it happened. I just wish I wasn’t sent away.” He starts to cry. She got up and gave him a hug. She said to him “Do you want me to read what they say happened?” He looked up at her and nodded no. He said “I want to read it myself.” She gave him the book and he started to read.  

It reads-In the year 1125, a vast swarm of demons from the northern mountains came and attacked the village of Sakin. Their master, Giato, was looking for someone and no one knows who but they say that they both live to this day and time.- “That is when I thought of you.” Sasha said. Matt looked at her and said “Why?” She answered “It is because you come from a different time and a village called Sakin so, I thought of you. Then Giato is someone at my school so he came into the picture, too Why do you think he would be looking for you?” He thought for a moment and then said “I really don’t know why.”  She nodded and then took the dishes to the kitchen and cleans up and tidied the kitchen.

Matt sat out in the living room thinking “why would Giato want to come after me?” Sasha came out later and went to him “So what do you want to do today?” He thought for a moment and said “Let’s go to the city! I have never been to one before!”
