On top of a cream colored house, Gaara was sitting. He looked at his watch, it was already 5am. "Well I guess I should get ready for today..." He took a last look at the rising sun and jumped next to house door. He entered, put his gourd on the floor next to the broken tv and climbed the stairs. He heard a flush from the bathroom so he stopped walking. Temari came out of the bathroom, wearing a pink poney pyjama.

"God, this is the last time I drink so much at a party, my bladder was about to... Hey Gaara! What are you doing here?" she asked.

"I have my reasons woman" answered Gaara.

He walked away as Temari yawned and went back to bed. He passed in front of Kankuro's room and heard a strange noise. It wasn't the snoring sound he used to make, this time, he was talking.

"No! Gaara! Leave me alone! Please don't kill me! I'll do anything you ask!" yelled Kankuro.

"Oh, brother!" said Gaara.

Again, he walked towards his room, without interruptions this time. He entered, took his clothes off and headed to his personal bathroom. After taking a shower, he opened his wardrobe and picked a black shirt and blue jeans. After that his black snickers, went downstairs to pick up his gourd, had some "Sand Flakes: They're bloody good!" cereal and left the house. He was now heading to the Ichiraku Ramen Shop to meet up with Ino.

It was 8am, the birds were chirping and flying, the squirrels were collecting nuts, people were passing by, saying "Happy New Year!" to each other. Gaara actually felt happy, he didn't even want to kill for a change.

"Happy new year Gaara!" said Ino. She was wearing a blue shirt, a pink skirt and white snickers, she was holding a bag. Inside there was her swim-suit.

"B... Happy new year Ino! Shall we get going?" asked Gaara. For a moment he wanted to say Bloody new year.
