    The Team MLC hid in the corner, silently gasping for breath, scanning the area, and reloading their weapons. NearlyMello got into sniping position, instructing MrGBH and Shyone1 to do the same. NM was trying to concentrate on their current situation while also figuring out a plan. She made a mental list of what was going on.

* Calamari came before them, unharmed and untouched in anyway. Save for the fact she was wearing a dress. (Cal in a dress?!)
* Calamari  melted into the darkness again.....she seemed to be enjoying it...
 * Ninjas. Everywhere.
* Open fire on both sides. MrGBH almost tripped over Grinzor, Forthecriac got a minor scratch, and God only knows how Mack's haircut was ruined with flying stars, but everybody was alive, no fatal wounds to note.
* Their current position: in a hallway which lead to Rokusho's office.....

    NearlyMello sighed, conducting a plan. They didn't have much time......the only way to track down Calamari's location and to figure out Rokusho's plan was to hack into his information.....of course, Mack and GinKazeRyuu would take care of that for her....but she needed more. The Team MLC was apt, she concluded, but they didn't know enough of their enemy to win. What they needed was a backup....a ninja...

    Kankuro15 sighed, somewhat annoyed, sinking deeply into the MLC indoor pool, now currently heated for the winter. This was, of course, her main problem; the heater. It cost the clan so much money, and, for her, it was too troublesome; after all, wasn't GinKazeRyuu and 9261993's idea to install kotatsus in all the offices and lobby enough? And now Calamari was kidnapped....she cursed Rokusho's name with utmost scorn; it was all his fault the MLC's stock went down for the past two days; most of their lead sellers where in the Team MLC after all. "Team MLC...." she murmured. She HAD to be sick on the day it was formed. Of course, she mused, that's what you get after food poising of eating muffins a month after the expiration date....
"Kan......Kankuro, right?" asked a soft voice.
 Kankuro turned around. Behind her stood a confused Tollieo1, holding a cell phone in her hand.
"It's, err, NearlyMello," she explained. "She wants to talk to you."

    After NearlyMello's call, making a mental note to tell Mxskai to switch the MLC's plan to Virizon, Kankuro ran all the way to AnnChoEve's office.
 "Master!" she yelled, banging open the door.
"What?" asked Ann, blushing; she had just been spinning around in her boss chair.
"It's the Team MLC. They want me as backup."
 She explained the phone call.
Ann nodded. "That would be wise....you still remember everything, of course?"
Kankuro nodded; the ex-ninja still practiced the arts of her past. Ann tossed her an extra uniform, a slick black one.
 "Take the Baby, then."
 Kankuro's eyes widened. "They left it behind?"
 Ann nodded, amused. "Mr. GBH is smart when he wants to be. He took the other because he says that the fastest one should always be saved for the backups; just in case they need a quick rescue."

     To Mack's prayers, Rokusho's office was neat and organized.  It was a lot easier to hack into systems that way. Calling Shyone1 and Nine-chan for look out, GinKazeRyuu and her started hacking into Rokusho's main database. GinKazeRyuu groaned.
 "Mack, I don't get it. I though we already went through this back at the MLC......."
"That was his personal PC," Mack explained, already confirming the password to the Top Secret: Level 5.
"This is the base's mainstream: everything and anything these ninjas type up within this building are relocated to here."
Gin quickly scanned the info, shaking her head.
"Nothing here...try Level 4."

          Shyone1 shifted uneasily in her position, holding onto her stars carefully. Being a look- out made her uneasy. However, 9261993 was enjoying herself, pretending to be a top spy secret agent.
 "I thought we're supposed to find Calamari." Shy complained.
9261993 nodded, and jerked her head over to Mack's direction.
"That's what they're doing; they're trying to figure out Rokusho's exact plans. NearlyMello is calling a backup agent. I think it's Kankuro...Anyhow, the plan is for her to arrive through the main entrance, I think. Everyone else is going to stall the guards..."
ShyOne was shocked. "But.....the main entrance? That's like walking into a trap..."
 "It's one of the last things these ninjas would expect." Nine-chan remarked, observing her weapons.
 "Hollywood has such an influence, don't you think?"

         Forthecraic was starting to feel like this mission was hopeless. They where nowhere near to saving Calamari; only nearer to getting killed. Shyone1 and 9261993's job was to stop anyone entering near a certain range near  Rokusho's office, while she stayed with Mr.GBH, Mello and Grinzor to do the same at the entrance. She panted softly; they had just took on a gang of ninjas, and her sharp ears could hear about 12 more coming.
"Command?" Grinzor whispered, reloading a handgun.
"Open fire." was NearlyMello's reply.
"Right." answered Mr. GBH with a grin.
Grinzor looked at him, scoffed, and murmured,
"Show off."
Mr. GBH shrugged, a bit discouraged; the ladies of the MLC were never impressed by any forms of macho-ness unless it came from a goth  J-Rock band. He started to consider this for future training references.

    The four waited patently for the ninjas to come. When they where in range, Grinzor and Mr. GBH instantly shot 6 in nonfatal places, just enough to knock them out. NearlyMello knocked down two others with her Kung Fu, and Craic was fighting three at the same time with her swords. But soon it was becoming clear that they where going to lose....seven minutes into combat and already Craic felt herself slowing down..... was Mello crying a retreat? It was hard to tell with several screaming over dramatic ninjas flying into your face...
 The ninjas all dropped to the floor, defeated, knocked out. At first, NearlyMello, Mr. GBH, Craic, and Grinzor were startled and weary, until a lone figure draped in a Team MLC suit walked silently in, waving a pair of numb chucks.
"Missed me long?" winked Kankuro.

         GinKazeRyuu could have attacked Mack right there and then with a hug. They've been hacking into the system for a tiring half hour, when finally they reached Rokusho's plan, and the Tagging system attached to Calamari. Gin laughed joyfully as she copied the file into her cell phone, ready to track down the Squid. She then alerted NearlyMello of her success, and promised to keep an eye on the screen; the ninja and Calamari where both several floors above the main entrance.
"What's Rokusho's plan?" asked NM.
"He's waiting for us to come and rescue Calamari; he has no ransom in mind. He wants us to come to him, so that he can capture us. He's planning to force the MLC into closing down."
NearlyMello paused.
"What's the percentage of failure?"
"You mean if Cal dies?" asked Gin.
"Yeah"
"That's unlikely; they where close friends along with Grinzor back at the MLC, and Rokusho isn't a known killer. Wounds are a different story, though." said Gin.
They talked a bit more, NearlyMello handing over the phone to Kankuro. The orders where clear; Mack and Gin where to do whatever they needed to complete in the office, meanwhile keeping a watch over Calamari and Rokusho at the same time. Afterwards, they where to head out of the office, regrouping and completing the final stage of the mission; to save the Squid.
 When she finished with the call, Mack took over the computer again, this time logging on into the security system. Gin frowned.
"Dude, what are you doing?"
"Playing a game."
 Gin blinked. Stared. Then smiled, trying to look over her shoulder in crazed excitement. Hacking into security systems for her was way to easy. It amazed her by the  number of secret societies that refused to build without some sort of trapping doors system; though made to catch intruders, it just made it easier for intruders to trap them.

        9261993 was wallowing. She was missing out the major action! She wanted to do something! Maybe do a fancy high kick or something......but the last ninja they knocked out was ten minutes ago, and she was bored. It didn't help Gin and Mack where taking their time with the computer. She listened to them laugh at something, then heard a soft thud, and some yelling on the upper floors. She looked around the room, then spotted an unusual red button on the wall bearing the sign "DO NOT TOUCH. DANGER!!"
 And, naturally, she did.
Instantly, the building exploded with red swirling lights. Mack cussed, looking at the computer screen; it was a self destruct button, activating a time bomb to go out in an hour....
"OMG, NINE, WHATDIDYADO?!" shouted Shyone1.
9261993 giggled nervously, and tried in vain to find another button to undo her mistake. She ended up activating  the sprinklers. Shyone hit her gently on the head.
"Idiot," she said,  but quickly turned around to the door, to find several ninjas running their way.
Her eyes widened. "Ah, guys......Mack!"
"What NOW?" snapped Mack in her most adult, grouchy voice; she was stressed, the computer was getting messed up, and she was WET.
"A couple of ninjas are coming our way!" shouted Shy.
 "Can't you take them head on?" asked Gin, reaching for her hand gun and cell at the same time.
 ShyOne shook her head. "It's not that......it's Rokusho."
GinKazeRyuu checked her cell phone and gasped, then hissed, pissed at herself for not paying attention. A blue dot and a red dot was heading their way, fast. She instantly contacted NearlyMello.
"Yo, we have a problem. It seems that Rokusho has cornered us before we've cornered him."
