I love this series! It's just the perfect mix of elements; Dark, gothic imagery, exotic vampires and unique characters, and a smattering of quirky unexpected humor.

When Kouhei discovers Hazuki alone in an ancient castle, he works to free her from her entrapment within its walls. Unknown to Kouhei, this becomes the start of an amazing journey into the truth of who Hazuki really is, and why it is that she so important to the vampires that seek to retrieve her.

Through this journey, Kouhei discovers the strenghth that lies within him; Allowing him to both to protect Hazuki, and to fight back against the vampires that hunt them relentlessly.

And of course, it also helps that Hazuki is quite possibly one of the cutest vampire protagonists ever. And as he will discover, Kouhei is quite lucky to have her in his life, despite all the trials and tribulations that they go through.
