I, a dark one
Wanted to be light?
A mane of pure, white hair
The truth
Red eyes filled with hate
The truth
Impurity and Evil
The truth
A dark shadow of life
The truth
Why do I abandon the power,
The lust,
The greed?
Why is it that through lies
I am led to truth?
This world will never accept one such as I.
But why should I fret for a single second?
Those humans will never understand me.
Having seen under my mask,
How will you now react?
I search for acceptance,
I find no donors…
I will replace my mask!
I want only to find fair eyes.
Ritellos Axelain is a drow, a drow who gave up his drowyness in favor of happily living on the surface. He found a mask *coughDrizz'tcough* which changes his appearance. He is a buddy of Grinzor's.

Does no one know what a drow is? A drow is, by definition, a dark elf. Dark elves have black skin and white hair, and possess an unnatural sense of evil. Some, however, are good.

Ah, Grinzor, you didn't need the explanation at the bottom, since it just confused people. Still, I think this is the best poem you've written. (^_^) Very nice use of repetition and rhythm. Good job!

I really liked how you used repetition and contrasted 'the lie" and "the truth". I'm not really sure who and what you're writing about, but it sounded good to me anyway.

Very interesting.... It's a simple idea- something most of us put on everyday to some extent- that you put your own spin on. One question though- What's a drow? Am I terribly ignorant? You can pm with that answer.
