I’m way to behind on this to list all the new stuff. My bad. I’ll do it next time. I’m also gonna alphabetize it to. Next time. I don’t know what discs of case closed I have yet. I need to figure out what season they’re from. I’m also gonna start listing news I find significant. Nothing ground-breaking, just stuff from magazines and podcasts.

NEWS:

Not much. The Shonen Jump contest is kinda cool sounding. Basically, you buy Shonen Jump manga in August, September, and November, and it comes with an entry form, and two stickers. One is useless. The other one, collect three of it and put them on the entry form, and they’ll send you a “surprise”. No idea what it is. I hope it doesn’t suck… I may have a misunderstanding of the term “shonen”, but I thought it meant teenage boy. If it does, allot of the things they give away are somewhat childish…

The Bleach special edition manga is coming out in August. It will be hardcover and have original color pages from when it first appeared in Weekly Shonen Jump.

In other news, PiQ is dead. I don’t know when exactly it happened but, in my opinion, it sucked anyway, so I don’t really care. I myself prefer Otaku USA, which I have yet to get a subscription for…

ADV Manga is reportedly almost dead. Which is most unfortunate, since they won’t be able to continue Yotsuba& if they go…

Uh, this is old, but I’ll say it anyway. Tokyopop said that they will be cutting there manga releases in half. Normally this would be considered a bad thing, but I think it means they will be choosing more carefully what they release.

4Kids is turning against its statement “… Japan is over…” and has purchased another anime. I can’t remember its name, but it is rumored to be childish, and has been likened to power rangers. It is also rumored that they will edit out all Japanese looking characters and replace them with American looking ones… Interesting…
