“Sasori. Watch out for Keitarin while we’re gone.” Akira instructed Sasori.

Keitarin looked at him and gave him her fiercest glare “I don’t need someone to baby-sit me. I am perfectly capable of watching out for myself.” She told him harshly.

“Keitarin! Watch your tone.” Her mother scolded. Keitarin crossed her arms over her chest and turned her head to glare at the wall.

After Akira and Barubara let Sasori and Keitarin know that there was money in a jar on a counter in the kitchen for food while they were gone they left.

The next day around noon Keitarin woke up and got ready to go hang out for the day. She walked down the stairs wearing a pair of solid black vans shoes, olive green cargo pants and a black t-shirt that had ‘4 out of 5 voices in my head say go for it!’ in white lettering across the front.

She checked around the house and found out nobody was home. Keitarin shrugged and ran back up the stairs to get her cell phone. She looked through her contacts and came to Temari’s number.

Ring… ring… ring…

“Hello?”

“Hey Temari.”

“Hey Keitarin. What’s up?”

“Nothing. Just bored out of my mind. Want to come over and hang out?”

“Sure. Sounds cool. Oh wait. Hinata and Sakura are coming over today at about 5 and they’re gonna spend the night.

“Oh… All of you could come over here if that’s cool?” Keitarin half asked half stated.

“Okay. Where do you live?”

After Keitarin gave her the directions Temari told her that she would call Sakura and Hinata to make sure it was okay with them and then they would get over to her house around five thirty.

“Cool. I’ll see you guys when you get here.”

A little after five thirty Keitarin was lounging on the couch watching TV waiting for the other girls. She heard the doorbell ring and got up to answer it.

The now open door revealed Hinata, Temari and Sakura.

“Hey guys. Come on in.” She said and stepped aside so they could get through.

Keitarin led them up to her room so they could put their stuff down.

“So. What do you guys wanna do first?” Sakura asked.

“You guys are the guests. You guys can choose” Stated Keitarin

“Um… H-how about a m-movie?” Timidly asked Hinata.

“Sounds great! Which movies do you have Keitarin??” Asked Temari

“I own a lot of horror movies. Not much of anything else. Is that okay with everyone?”

Everyone agreed even though Hinata looked a little reluctant.

“Tobi you idiot!!!” Yelled an angry Deidara while chasing after Tobi”

“Tobi didn’t mean it!!! Tobi swears!!” he replied while running like his life depended on it… and it probably did.

“I don’t care if you meant it or not, yeah!!! I’M GONNA KILL YOU!!!” he voiced loudly.

Suddenly Deidara found himself face first on the ground. He looked up while spitting out clumps of dirt

“What the hell did you trip me for Itachi!?”

“You were annoying me.” he replied while walking away.

Kisame stood up from his spot on the bench while asking, “What did Tobi-“ he started but then stopped and had a very shocked expression on his face. After a moment he started bursting out with laugher and held his side from all the laughing he was doing.

“Shut up, yeah. It’s not funny.” He growled venomously.

“Your hair is PINK!!! Of course it’s funny!!!” He laughed out in between gulps of air.

At this statement the rest of the group who wasn’t paying any attention before looked over at Deidara, who now had a head full of pink hair, with much interest.

Kakuzu and Hidan joined Kisame in laughing while Itachi, Sasori and Zetsu stood there coolly with mild interest. Tobi stood behind Zetsu in an attempt to hide from Deidara’s view.

Sasori smirked while asking “How did you end up with hair almost as pink as that Sakura girls hair?”

“That moron Tobi was swinging on the swings and let go of his kool-aid and it landed on my head!!” He practically screamed.

“Well. You should have moved out of the way” Sasori replied with a smartass tone.

Deidara gave Sasori one of the fiercest glares of all time.

It was around eight o’ clock when the guys were walking into Sasori’s house. They walked into the door and heard the sound of people messing around in the kitchen and music playing.

Deidara was the first to walk into the kitchen to see Temari and Sakura working of a batch of brownies while Keitarin and Hinata were making something in a big wok.

Keitarin turned around from her spot at the counter to get something for the food she was preparing and gasped when she saw Deidara. After taking a minute to gape wildly at him and register what was wrong she immediately started laughing loudly. Sakura, Hinata and Temari also glanced over to see what was going on. Temari and Sakura immediately stared joining Keitarin in laughing fits. Even Hinata was having a hard time stifling her laughter.

“W-w-what happened t-to you??” Keitarin asked while trying to regain control over her voice.

He sent a dark glare towards Tobi and responded by saying, “Don’t ask, yeah.” With a growl. He grabbed the handle on the refrigerator door and harshly pulled it open. He slammed the door shut after grabbing a soda and heading to the living room where everyone else was.

“So why is Deidara in your house?” Asked a curious Temari as they sat down at the table with their food, which was chicken stir-fry over Japanese noodles. Hinata and Sakura also were eager to hear the reason.

Keitarin stopped eating her food and explained. “He’s a friend of my step brother Sasori.”

“Your step brother is Sasori?” That question came from Sakura.

“Yep.”

“Um, Keitarin?” Sakura continued while Hinata and Temari glanced at each other.

“Yeah?”

“You do know about Sasori and Deidara’s reputations, right?”

“No. What about them?”

“They’re always getting into fights. And getting in trouble for stuff like skipping classes, talking back to the teachers and other stuff.”

“Really…”

“Yeah. They hang out with some other guys. Itachi, Kisame, Hidan, Kakuzu, Zetsu and Tobi are their names.”

Keitarin nodded with had a thoughtful look on her face. After a few minutes of eating in silence they started talking about random subjects. They soon finished their food. The girls cleaned off their plates and washed them, then headed upstairs to Keitarin’s room.

After talking more, playing some video games and playing a couple card games they put the movie Accepted in Keitarin’s X-Box. Hinata and Sakura were sharing the futon in Keitarin’s room that pulled out into a bed while Temari was on the inflatable mattress and Keitarin in her own bed. Around one am half of the movie had passed and they were all sleeping.

Around four am Keitarin cracked her eyes open slightly and yawned. After tossing and turning for a couple of minutes she realized that sleep wouldn’t come again for her soon. She sat up and noticed that it was still dark outside and everyone was still asleep. Looking over to her alarm clock she saw that it was five fifteen am. Quietly she got out of bed and left her room and headed for the kitchen.

Keitarin was put a kettle full of water on the stove and while waiting for it to boil she dug through the cabinets looking for a mug. After finding her favorite black one with a wolf on it she turned around and nearly dropped her mug in shock.

“Oh my God!! You scared the crap out of me!” Keitarin whispered with a harsh tone.

“Sorry, yeah. Didn’t mean to.” Deidara apologized.

“It’s fine. Just don’t do it again.”

Taking a seat in a chair at the kitchen table he asked, “What are you doing up?”

“I couldn’t sleep.”

“Same here.”

“I’m making some hot chocolate. Want some?”

“Sure.”

She got down another mug and poured some hot chocolate mix into both of the cups and then some of the now boiling water in them and stirred. She put some marshmallows on top of the drinks and sat down.

“Where is everyone?” Keitarin asked while handing him his.

“Sasori is asleep on one of the couches and everyone else went home after you guys went upstairs, yeah.” He replied then took a drink of the hot chocolatey liquid.

“Oh.”

Keitarin glanced over to him a let out a small laugh.

“What?”

“Are you suuure you don’t want to tell me what happened with your hair?”

He scowled and covered his face with his hand. “I’m sure, yeah.”

“Come on!! Tell me!!”

“No.”

“Please?”

“No.”

“Please???”

“No!”

“Fine.” She huffed and went back to her drink.

“So. How old are you?” He asked after a few minutes a silence.

“Fifteen. I’m gonna be turning sixteen in a couple of months though. How about you?”

“I’m seventeen, yeah.”

She nodded while fidgeting with the cloth on the table. “Well it’s almost six am. I’m gonna head back to bed and try to get a few more hours of sleep. I’ll talk to you later.”

He nodded and she headed back upstairs
