Once in my room, I sat on my bed and itched my arm again. Why was my arm itching so much? I looked at it. "Weird," I said. On my forearm, I had this weird red pattern thing. It looked almost like a flame--like a tattoo or something. My eyes widened as the strange mark turned a deep blue and started to glow. I stood up, scared. I didn't know what to do. This had never happened to me before...Was it part of the puberty process or something? Looking down, I saw my shirt begin to glow.  Another weird pattern was emerging from underneath it. I tore my shirt off. A swirly looking thing was wrapped around my stomach and it had spikes on it. "What the heck?!"

I layed on my bed and stared at the roof. The blue thing was on my arm and I had to idea how to get rid of it. I tried soap, tape, and even my mom's cleansing pads. Nothing was working so I gave up. I yawned again and closed my eyes. Thoughts were running through my head. When did all this start to happen...? I asked myself. Tracing back, I realized something....Jake had the same thing on his face exept it was red. Jake....Jake...

I sat up quickly and gasped. Jake.....! He's the one that gave this to me!

At that moment, the door slammed downstairs. "I'm home!" Jaylin shouted. "Oh, and Jake's here, too!" "That's great. Just, when you go upstairs, check on Tao to make sure he's asleep," I heard my mom say. "Sure! I'll go right--" Jaylin was cut off my Jake. "Hey...I'll do it." "Thanks!" she said. I heard footsteps coming up the stairs, then outside my door. I sat up. "Wait! No! I don't want him to...!" "Well, now! That's not very nice!" Jake said from my doorway. He leaned against the frame and wiped a blond strand of hair from his face.
