It was the next morning and Saemon had already gone to sleep and Asuna was somewhere else. While that was happening Shiro stood in front of a window covered by curtains thinking if he could still walk in the sun or was it just the medicine his so called uncle gave him that allowed him to walk in the sun. After a time he reached for the curtain and opened it to let the sun in and have his eyes start to hurt. At the same moment Shiro opened the curtain having the sun shine on his face Asuna walked into the room. When Asuna saw all this she screamed and rushed Shiro knocking him down to the floor and out of the sun. She began to look him over to see if he had any burns, but when she saw none she began to relax. They were like that for some time and Asuna bent down to kiss Shiro on the lips when they both heard footsteps running up the stairs. Quickly moving away they both turned to see Danjo appear then lean on the wall by the stairs, “I saw the prince by the window and came here right away when I heard a scream. Is everything alright?” “I’m okay…the both of you don’t need to worry. I guess I’m immune to the sun after all. I was kind of worried that I was only able to go into the sun since I took that medicine!” Shiro then sat up as Asuna did the same beside him. Danjo smiled then, “Well…if that’s the case you can come into town with me. I need to get some more groceries.” “How can I do that? I don’t have the sunglasses that Asuna gave me anymore.” “He’s right Danjo! We left them at the house we stayed in when we left.” Danjo then walked over to a dower and took out two sunglasses and threw them at Shiro and Asuna, “Here…we keep spare sunglasses for those vampires that can walk in the sun. Now, come on…I have four pregnant werewolves here eating us out of house and home! So…I need to get those groceries before they decide to start eating their pack mates!” Then Danjo started to walk out the room only to stop at the stairs, “Oh ya,” he then turned back and threw another thing at Shiro, “Here! It’s money so you can buy something when we’re in town.” “Wait! I can’t take this…” “Think nothing of it…if it makes you feel any better. Think of it as what ever you buy as a gift from one king to a future king!” “You mean you’re the…” “Yes…I’m the wolf king! Now let’s go,” then Danjo started down the stairs. Both Shiro and Asuna looked at each other before putting on the sunglasses then following Danjo. Outside Danjo was waiting by his truck when they came out and walked over to where he was. After they all got in Danjo started driving to go into town. When they got to the place Danjo gets his groceries Shiro noticed a store to the side that caught his eye. “Well come on…we don’t have time to stare at shops!” then placing a hand on Shiro’s back Danjo herded him to the groceries store, while all the time keeping an eye on the store that caught the prince’s eye. After a long time had past the three of them started back to the truck. As they pasted the store that Shiro saw before he stopped, “Hey! I’ll be right back,” and he dropped what he was carrying and ran into the store. “Shiro…wait!” “Leave him be.” “But…the sun has just gone down.” “Just give him time! He’ll be back in no time,” then Danjo went to the bags Shiro was carrying and picked them up and continued to the truck. When Shiro went into the store it was dark and almost gloomy, “Hello! Is anybody here?” When nobody answered Shiro started looking around the store at all the objects in it. As Shiro was walking around the place when he suddenly stopped and saw on display in a case a silver cross on a chain and a single silver cross earring. Shiro was looking at it so long he didn’t even noticed that somebody was beside him until they spoke to him. “That’s a good eye you have there,” the teen then picked up the case that held the two objects, “Both crosses it seem are not only silver, but have been blessed so their holy objects too!” Shiro looked at this strange teen with blood red eyes holding the case. He then started to smile that made Shiro a little nerves, “I mean if you believe in vampires! Care to hold the cross or are you scared?” Not knowing why he did it Shiro picked up the cross to hold it in his hand, all the while looking at the strange teen. The teen then started to smile even more, “Well isn’t that interesting! I guess now you’ll have to get them.” “What do you mean?” “Well…you can have you’re ear pierced here,” he then put the case that held the earring in Shiro’s other hand. Just then a man walked out from behind a door, “Hey, kid…if you’re not here to buy anything buzz off!” Shiro looked at the man then suddenly back to the teen, only to find he was no longer there. Looking back at the man, “I’d like to have my ear pierced and buy these as well!” The man just looked at Shiro then gave a cold and calculating smile that some would call pure evil, “Sure…come this way,” then he walked back threw the door. After awhile Shiro left the store with the case that held the two crosses in his pocket and a gold ball earring in one ear. The vampire watched as the prince ran to where the werewolf and Lady Asuna were waiting by the truck. As they got in and drove off he couldn’t stop smiling at what just happened a few minutes ago. The vampire had sensed the prince in the store so he went in and started looking for him. He found the prince looking at a case that held two silver crosses that had been blessed. While having a small chat with the prince he dared the prince to hold the silver cross. Only instead of the holy object melting his hand like acid does on the skin of humans, which meant he was immune to holy objects and maybe silver. He left the store when the man suddenly appeared and went outside to wait for the prince to come out and watch him leave in the truck. As the vampire was going to leave he stopped when he spotted one woman and one man in front of the store. Seeing the man had a cross-bow/gun mix under his coat, “So…you’re the one that killed my slave!” Just then the woman turned looking in his direction then spoke softly that even he couldn’t hear it. Then the man turned bringing his weapon up to fire, but the vampire was already gone. At the front of the store the hunter was about to fire when the woman placed a hand on his weapon pushing it down, “The vampire is long gone!” Shoving the woman’s hand away he entered the store with the woman following behind. Inside they saw a man waiting for them to come and stand before him. “Can I help you?” “Yes…you can,” then the hunter took out a photo, “have you seen this kid? If you have it would be a very wise choice to tell us everything.” The man just blinked then smiled coldly, “I may have, but as for telling you…I don’t think so!” Just as the hunter was about to do something the woman came over, “No…don’t! Please, we’ll leave peacefully.” “See that you do hunter witch or I’ll make sure you suffer for all eternity!” Then the witch grabbed the hunter and dragged him out the door not stopping until she was sure it was safe. “What the hell did you think you were doing?” “Saving, your ungrateful life! You have no idea how close to death you were at.” The hunter just stared at the woman who he now knew was a witch, “Okay…what the hell is he?” “More like who then what!” “Then who is he?” “The Grim Reaper!” “What! You’re kidding.” “No…do I look like I’m joking! The Grim Reaper really excise and is not tied to just this world, but can go anywhere he pleases to go. Every now and then he sets up shop and sells things.” “What kind of things?” “Don’t know, but I do know on thing! If your target bought something from that store…it’s as sure as hell to cause death!” They both looked back in the direction of the store and wondered what was bought from there. In the store the Grim Reaper watched as the witch and vampire hunter leave his store. Then going to the cash register he took the money he got from the vampire prince out of his pocket and looked at it. “Hope you enjoy what you bought here kid! I know I’ll enjoy all that death caused by them brought my way.” Then putting the money away in the cash register and began closing shop. After all he’d stayed here long enough, it was time to go back to his job of collecting souls of those that died after this long seventeen years of vacation.
