This is my last hurrah on Tokyopop. I thought this was supposed to be a cool place where artists could hang out, post their work, and have fun. I was so wrong. That's why I'm leaving. Actually, there are several reasons why I'm leaving. Let me list them, here.

1. Tokyopop.com doesn't care about its artists. That's right. As noted in Calamari's most recent blog entry, Tokyopop can take any piece of art that they like and use it for their own selfish purposes. And they do. Just check out the FAQ. You think TP made that Furuba in Wonderland picture? No way, they took it from a user. Way to set an example for all those art theives, Tokyopop.

2. Tokyopop.com doesn't care about the porn problem. It seems like they do, but in reality, they're just putting a band-aid over a giant flesh wound. Sure, three flags on a piece of porn makes it "adult only", but what about the porn poster? They're just going to post more of their crud in heaping amounts. They should be banned! If the TP staff can ban a user for "harassing" them (without proof, of course), then they can surely ban a user for posting pictures of naked chicks. Which do you think is the greater offense?

3. Tokyopop.com is broken. TP 2.0 is just as glitchy as ever, and although some of the more loyal users are reporting problems, the problems aren't getting fixed. Weren't we promised a better site back in April? Hello! It's July! And even though the site will be upgraded, someday, I still have my doubts that it will function properly. Why do I think so? Because Tokyopop.com has a slacker for a webmaster. If he actually got off his lazy but and did something instead of messing with his settings to give himself 1700 fake Pops, maybe this site would work. And yes, it is MPaladino/MP/Juxtaposer/whatever the frig he's going to change his username to next who found a "very cool" piece of art, stole it, and posted it in his Portfolio. I hinted about it in my last blog entry, but I guess he didn't read the entry. So, if you're a TP user, I suggest you call him out on the stolen piece of art. And if there is any chance that one of the TP higher-ups reads this, please do us all a favor and fire the guy. He's not helping Tokyopop's image in the least. And if the so-called webmaster reads this I have a message for him: go [ban] yourself.

Now, I'm probably going to get banned for speaking out about this, but I don't care. I'm through with Tokyopop.com. If you want to find me, just use the search engine of your choice and search for "Keba Si Rota" or "KebaSiRota" because I'm not coming back.
