Yeah, today is the independence day of Finland. 6th of December. My country is 90years old. YAY!!!
And every year there are two traditions:
The Ball at President's place, Linnan Juhlat. All the celebrities and politicians go there. And we ordinary people will watch them on tv and critic their dresses xD
The other tradition is the old Finnish movie that comes on every year. It's called Tuntematon Sotilas --> which means Unknown Soldier
The movie is about the events in Finland during the Second World War. When Russia attacked us and we fought for our freedom. Okey, Russia kicked our bottom big time but it's a part of our history. The previous battle with Russia is the more glorious one. When tiny little Finland managed to win the big bad Russia. Oh well, war is not pretty, it's not glorious. It's all wrong.
Still, happy B Day Suomi!!!
