While looking into the darkness of the night, preparing myself for the battle, I was panicing: where are my troops?! If I was to fight alone against gods only knows how many enemies...How would I be able to save my Prince?
Apparently he was thinking something alike: " How unfair! Two against..At lest ten. I feel sorry for them!" I grinned. It was amazing. Even at the time like this, he was still able to laugh. That was something special...

But I had to leave my warm thoughts. Our enemies were closing in. Masked men dressed in black, sabers as weapons. Even though that was a rare weapon of choise it didn't give me much of a clue about who were they, who had sent them and why. As i tried to keep my Prince safe and find out more clues about our enemy, I suddenly noticed that we had closed to stand back against back with each other. And it seemed that my worries for my Prince were not necessary. He was using his sword like it would have been part of his own body. So elegant and accurant...
I was fascinated.
"Captain Lucas"
"Yes, Your Highness?"
"As much as I am flattered of your admire towards myself, I'd like you to consentrate to the situation we are in. I would be really sad if you would die because of me."
I blushed and turned my eyes away from him. "Yes, Your Highness..."

I didn't saw it, but he smiled to me.

As we kept fighting, more and more enemies kept appearing. We started to feel tired. And then I saw it, just a second before it had been sent to fly through the air: an arrow!
Then many things happend almost at the same time: I pushed Rafael out of the way, took the hit myself. The arrow went in my right shoulder. I dropped on my knees and Rafael turned to see what had happend. He ran back to me and helped me up. "You fool! You shouldn't have done that!" I grinned behind my teeth. I felt dizzy. There must had been poison in that arrow. "It was my duty, Your Highness..."

There we stood, ready to die at any minute, when Rafael said in amazed voice. "Are they leaving?!"
