Reality Can't Be a Fantasy!

                           Reality Can’t Be a Fantasy! Chapter 1

The girl in my dream walked home, her feet moving at a slow and unsteady pace. She wanted to go home, but there was no home for her to go to. She had nothing left but the cosmic scar on her arm that she was tightly holding on to. Her long black hair was soaked, and she was cold. All the scratches on her body are bleeding profusely, but she hurts more on the inside. She was one of them and she left them for us. Her treacherous acts left her with no home, and no place to go. I always dreamed for this girl. I don’t know why, but every night she has a new place and new problems. She is my hero, and I feel as though I know her somehow. Why do I feel this way knowing that this is a dream? Her pain affects me as well. I can’t imagine why this girl is in my dreams, but every time I see her I try to call out to her, and she can’t hear or see me. I can’t watch her suffer anymore.

I opened my eyes and heard nothing but my alarm clock ringing. It’s six-o-clock already? I’m going to be late for school! I jumped into the shower and pulled on my clothes. The same school uniform, but since its winter now, I have to wear the winter one. The tan stripped vest with the long-sleeved white shirt underneath easily slipped onto my torso, and my brown shirt that cuts right at the center of my thighs was on first. I glanced at my clock again, and saw that I had three minutes left to myself. What the hell was I going to do for three minutes? I walked over to the mirror hanging in my bathroom right above my vanilla colored sink. I didn’t see anything out of place. My long black hair hugged my shoulders as usual, and my clothes gripped themselves to my skin. No make-up is needed, and my brown eyes looked the same, no red puffiness in them.

After I ran through my checklist, I walked to the bus stop, but I didn’t see anybody there, so I thought “Maybe I missed the bus” but I looked again, and there was a girl standing there in the same uniform as me. She looked lonely, and afraid. I walked up to her forgetting that there was a car coming, I got hit by that car. The first thought that ran through my head was “help her she might die” but I couldn’t say anything. The last thing I saw before I couldn’t see anymore was that girl at my side telling me it was ok. But then after that, I don’t remember.

In my dream, she was there, and this time she was crying. They weren’t tears of pain, but tears of sorrow and longing. What was it that she was missing so much? Her cuts are still there and her uniform was torn. She almost looked like she wasn’t wearing anything. Could it be that she was in a fight? Her hands touched her cheeks, and she wiped her red tears. How can she cry red tears? Is she human? Someone please help her she’s going to die! I yelled to her “you’ll be ok, please don’t cry over him.” But I don’t know how I knew that it was a guy that she was crying over. Why was she crying over a guy? She heard me this time. I will never forget what she said to me.

“You should leave; no one wants your pity!” Her words cut me like a knife slicing through butter. Did she hate me? Why? I was only trying to help her with her troubles. She is still bleeding, and yet she looks at me with hate in her eyes? I saw three men rush to her side, and they all had the same silver tint in their eyes as hers did. What is going on? I couldn’t see their faces, but they looked almost non-human. I studied their faces a little longer before she gave me a “f*** off” look. I want to be here longer but I don’t want to angry her in her condition.

Suddenly, I awoke. I was in the hospital. I looked around and noticed that the girl from this morning was sitting in the visitor’s seat sleeping. She was pretty, but she had one scratch on her face. I couldn’t look at her for too long because she had woken up.

“Are you okay?” She asked sympathetically.

“Yes” I managed to say with the little voice that I had. “Thank you so much for saving me today.”

“Well, technically, I saved you yesterday. You were asleep since six thirty AM yesterday morning. And now it’s about five AM,” she said, her brown hair covering her arms and her chest. Her brown eyes told me that she looked concerned, but her face told me otherwise.

“Um…Thank you for saving my life. I really appreciate it!” I said smiling the best as I could, but I could already feel it fading. She didn’t look like she wanted to be hanging around with someone like me, so I decided to try to keep my words short and simple.

“It’s not a big deal, but why did you run across the street like that? Who were you running to?” She asked loosing her cool complexion that covered her face.

“Well…” I started as I sat up slowly. “I was running to see whether…Um…I think I forget what I was running to see, but I know it was important.” Even though I knew I was lying, I couldn’t help but think that she wouldn’t understand even if I told her about what was going through my head. The main component was my dream. What does it mean? Who is that girl? I wonder if-

“—ino. Yukino, is your name right?” She asked me.

“Yes, and yours is Kamina?” I asked puzzled.

“Yea…But my name has nothing to do with you,” she snapped at me. I couldn’t even guess anything else because the doctor walked on the room, and began to speak.

“Yukino Kawasaki are you awake? That is almost a miracle!” I couldn’t believe what the doctor was telling me, I felt fine. I looked down at my torso and noticed stitches that had covered my bare chest. With just my bra on, I pulled the blankets up to my mouth and lay down on the bed. Oh my God! He saw me with just my bra is what I thought of first, until I saw the same girl that was in my dream walk past the door, and my heart froze.

“Are you alright? Yukino, you look as if you had just seen a ghost!” The thing is, I think I have too. I pulled on the closest shirt and pants, and raced out the door. Where did she go? I thought, but then I found her, not because I looked, but because the THUMP! That echoed through the hospital was me running into her.

This is actually my dream, so I thought that I would take my dream and project my feelings to others. ^^ enjoy! please POP or comment! *bows* origato!
