“Nama?” I called his name softly. He still didn’t move. I pushed him a bit and he still didn’t move. I huffed as I sat on his stomach and poked his forehead. That sucker still didn’t move. My eye twitched as I put my face close to his own.

“Yoo-hoo.” I muttered as I snapped a finger. “Nama.” I whined.

“Fine be that way.” I muttered as I had tried to get up. I looked down and saw that he had his hands firmly on waist.

‘When did he do that?’ I thought as I looked back at him. Just as I was about to pull away from him, I fell into him instead and our lips met. The first thing that was running through my mind was ‘OMG! Is this happening?’ The kiss was light and sweet and yet full of wanting. I tried to pull away but Nama pulled me even closer as he began to kiss back.

“Hey mommy look!” I heard a kid say.

“Close your eyes honey.” I heard the mother say as she had hurriedly walked off. I finally pulled away from him and looked at him kinda dazed.

“You okay, Xysis?” he asked as he laughed.

“Yeah. Never better.” I mumbled as I shook my head.

“Come on, let’s go swimming.” he said as he lifted me up and I began to trail after him.

After killing all day at the beach, we finally began our…well his drive back home. I slowly began to fall asleep as we continued down the road.

Nama’s POV

I looked over to my right and saw that Xysis was asleep.

“Is that all you do?” I muttered as I laughed a bit and continued to drive. After another thirty minutes, the house came into view. I crept into the driveway and picked Xysis up and placed her in bed when I had gotten through the house. I got in after her and pulled her close to me, taking in her sweet scent. I snuggled into her and stayed in that position for a while until my cell disturbed me.

’Great.’ I thought as I answered it.

“What.” I said as I picked it up with irritation clearly in my voice.

“We got a problem.” The voice said from the other side.

“What is it now Zukael?”

“Sources tell us that the vamps are on the rise again.”

“Are you serious? Do you know the number of their ranks?”

“That’s what we’re trying to get. Supposedly they’re hitting towards 3000. At the rate they‘re going we‘ll be extinct.” Zukael muttered.

I sighed. He was right. We were being outnumbered.

“Round up the others and meet at my house.” I said.

“’Kay.” he said before he hung up. I sighed again as I rubbed my temples and looked at Xysis. She seemed so peaceful, just sleeping with no worries. I rubbed her hair a bit before I kissed her head and headed downstairs.
