Chapter 2

The d**m things just kept coming and of all things... Sesshomaru was being the noble youki baka she had ever met.

'Demons...' she sighed. 'Sure as crap can't live with them. And it's even harder to get rid of them.'

Another demon attacked her from behind. Mobility was becoming a grave issue. The pesky things could smell her weakened state. Not much, but enough to give them hop, drive to keep up persuit.

She was not liking how her day was turning into. A quick check confirmed the baka was gracefully killing with one hand. The ease and boredom he expressed upset her.

Sesshomaru glanced at Kogome's directing.

She needs my help. He couldn't figure out why she refused to call to him. If I were my dobe brother she would be pleading for assistance... Or would she?

To tell the truth he hadn't seen her in years. For some reason whenever he crossed paths with his brother's pack she somewhere without them. He could sense her departure from the group a few years back when Noraku had almost been completly destroyed. Kikyo's death seemed to hurt Inuyahsa deeply as the souls released and Kagome became whole again.

He remembered the day perfectly.

~flashback~

As the portion of sould Kikyo possesed returned to Kagome's body there was a light that lifted her into the air. Luminating with a pink and purple glow. Then suddenly a burst of energy transfered blue.

She was somehow strengthened beyond measure, and noticably unstable. The darkness of Kikyo took hold long enough for her to retreat into the woods.

A year after the incedent she returned, pure, calm, and deadly. He was told from his allies that she was leaving for a priestess temple to train.

~ flashback over~

He could hardly believe that they turned the unsightly wench into a repectable priestess

Without rationality, he leaped to her aid. Drawing his sword, he reached otu and pulled her to his side by her waist.

With an "eep" she was in his embrace. He used his demon sword to finish their bothersome persuit.

She couldn't move once in his arms. And maybe she didn't wan't to. Breathing in his smell reminded her exactly of the fresh forest.

~ And that's how her group found her. In the embrace of Sesshomaru.

~ back to the present. ~

Inuyasha as much as she loved him, she was going to kill him if he wouldn't let it go. For a week now.

"A WHOLE WEEK!" She screamed out in frustration. He moped, complained, and glared at her the entire time. And she was sick of it.

"Now what's the problem. Are you too tired to go on. Or do you just want to return to my brother company. Next time we won't disrupt you two." At that moment his number was up.

"He will surely die where he stands." Miroku shook his head. While Shippou cringed in fear of Kagome's raising anger.

"She's scary." The rest of the group agreed.

"Is that any way to speak to a Miko of her statures. Silence or I will silence your tongue for you." Slowly Sesshomaru steped out onto the forest path.

"... Ses... sho... maru?!" She blinked a few times to clear her vision. "What are you doing here?" Inuyasha's ears pricked with her non use of formality.

"I'm here to see if you were healed Miko. Then I was to ask to speak to you alone." Inuyasha didn't like where this was going at all.

For the past year, his brother's additude had changed. And he had an unfortunate guess as to what he was up too.

Has it been 500 yrs. already. D**m, I thought to have Kagome before this happened. Inuyasha thought

Let's just say once a demon turned 500, if they didn't already have a mate. Then by any means were thay going to find one. Beauty, and most of all power drove them to a person. Once they found them WATCH OUT.

Poor Kagome her mere presence shouted to him. And anyone be d**med if they got in his way.
