We travailed to the town nearby and Mio went into some stores to food for our trip. When she had everything we started out into the woods to the shinobi village.
About two hours Mio walked and then took a break and found a smooth boulder to sit on. She rummaged through her bag and took out a package of cookies. She opened it up and gave one to me and had one herself. As night came and the day ebbed away, Mio went through the bag again and got out candles and matches and lit the candles. She also pulled out some blankets and put one on me and said, “We’ll start traveling again in the morning.” With that she covered herself with a blanket and fell asleep.

Mio woke up with a start. She heard something rustling nearby, slowly she reached into her leg pouch and withdrew a kuni and readied herself. Suddenly, thought the bushes a man walks though and says, “I’m not here to hurt you or your sister.” The man look like a ninja, but Mio kept her kuni ready just in case. “What do you want?” she asked him. “I was passing by. Why are you out here in the woods? It’s dangerous! Especially for her.” He said and pointed to me. “I can protect my sister! Besides we have no home to… Oh! Do you know where the shinobi village is?” She asked hoping he knew. “I do, that’s where I live. Just lower your kuni, I won’t hurt either of you.” He replied and Mio slowly lowered the kuni. “I’ll be back. Just gather your stuff and I’ll be back to take to you and your sister to the village.” With that he disappeared where he came from.

Who is this Shinobi? Can they trust him?
