New Toke-Po, Random Thoughts

So yay, we're in the new Tokyo Pop 2.0.  Still having a few small issues....namely the login-logout randomness.  Occasionally I'll get thrown out, but it's not half as bad as it had been during the first few days that it was last 'officially open'.  THAT was terrible.

Some things I'd like to see worked on...

  • Ability to rearrange our fan/friend lists
  • A 'new content added' icon next to a fan's icon
  • Better arrangement of information.
  • Better support for your own editor!?!?!

Right now, things are kinda hard to find, and sometimes rediculously so - I feel like I should be asking Mr. Owl "How many clicks does it take to get to the center of a TokyoPop!?!" Wow, that worked out almost too well.  But seriously....that front-most page? That kind of layout works good.  But for EVERY sub-page?  Not really.  It just looks too busy and too similar...hard to distinguish where you are, especially when each page is blinding-white in color.

Ah well.  Anyway....difficulty of navigation is one of my biggest gripes, but I think overall it's pretty good.  I do dislike the 'hangover' of HTML-added stuff in our profile section....it doesn't show up on the profile page, but when you edit it, it's all there, and it's unremovable.

I'd like to hope that I'll be adding new content soon....it'll probably be Nintendo themed since I AM working on an art contest entry(though I doubt my ability to finish it on time since we were undercut on deadline time).  What I really want to do is get to work on my manga idea.  It sucks having ideas for like...years in advance when you haven't even completed the first page yet.

  Well.  I think I'll....do something...some time....

*EDIT: Good grief, this is definately *NOT* a WYSIWYG editor!  None of my bullet lists showed up, and I don't think any hard-returns worked at all. >:(

Lots of good suggestions Magnus. Thanks. I've clipped your blog so I can get back to your suggestions easier for when I show them around the office! Nicely done!
