MITSUBISHI AND THE FROG
Mitsubishi was born in fuedal Japan in the small village of Otaka. During the young years of her life she spent her days playing with her life long friends Mishi and Barashi in the woods nearby to her house. But one faithful day the unthinkable happened, and thus begins our story.
"Mitsubishi!" called out Mishi, running frantically through the woods "Mitsubishi where are you?" Still there is no answer from the one known as Mitsubishi. "Come on Mitsubishi!' cried Mishi, tears forming in her eyes, a lone tear trickling down her cheek "Barashi have you found her yet?" "Nope," answered Barashi "where the hell could she have gone? We searched all over there woods for hours, there is no where left for her to go."
But what the two baffled friends don't know, is that they forgot to check the one place that Mitsubishi likes to go when she wants to be alone.
"I know it wasn't nice to leave Mishi and Barashi alone," said Mitsubishi to herself, she peered into the water from the rock that she was perched on "but this is the only place I can come that they don't know about yet. I wonder what they're doing right now? Mitsubishi pondered the question for a few seconds. "If I know those two," laughed Misubishi "they're probably searching the whole woods for me. And if I know Mishi, she is probably crying right about now."
'Where can she be?" cried Mishi, stopping for a breath "she is no where in sight."
"Maybe she went back to the village," said Barashi, patting Mishi's back "where else could she be?"
With that the two took off towards the village, leaving Mitsubishi alone in her secret hideout.
It is about mid-afternoon that Mitsubishi decides to leave the comfort of her hideout and head back home, so slipping her sandals on Mitsubishi makes her way across the rocks in the water. Mitsubishi is mid-stride across the rock when she hears a noise coming from beneath her feet. The noise startles Mitsubishi and she stumbles into the water.
"What was that?" asked Mitsubishi to herself, standing up in the knee deep water and searching around "who made that noise?"
"I did" said a voice from out of no where.
'Who?" cried Mitsubishi, spinning around in a qucik circle "where are you?"
"Right here," said the voice "right in front of you, can't you see me?"
"See you?" asked Mitsubishi, searching the surrounding area "I'm afraid I can't,"
"Oh, silly me" laughed the voice "I keep forgetting." Seconds later a small young boy appears in front of Mitsubishi. He is dressed in a males komono and he stands about four foot five. "Hi, there" he said.
'Whoah!" cried Mitsubishi as she stumbled into the water once again "where'd you come from?"
"Rumor has it that I came from my mom," laughed the boy, a huge grin plastered on his face.
'That's not what I..." shouted Mitsubishi "ugh! Never mind forget it"
'Ha!" laughed the boy, doing a little dance around Mitsubishi "your funny, I like you."
"And your a nuisance," said Mitsubishi, staring hard at the boy "why are you doing this to me?"
"Easy," answered the boy, doing his dance once again "it's because you were the one that found me." "Found you?' asked Mitsubishi "what do you mean by found you, it was more like you found me." "No, no" laughed the boy, staring at Mitsubishi "I don't think you get it. Frog finds no one, someone has to find Frog, that's the way it is." "Frog?" ssked Mitsubishi "who's Frog?"
The boy does another little dance before stopping and taking a bow.
"So, I'm taking it that your Frog?" asked Mitsubishi "am I correct?"
The boy nods his head.
"Okay, Frog" laughed Mitsubishi "why is that you allowed me to find you?"
