Episode III

Within My Love

When I woke up, I ended up finding myself in the arms of someone. What I didn’t know was that it wasn’t in the arms of Sonya. It was the arms of the alien.

“Are you all right, my love?” the alien asked.

“Yeah, I… I guess so. Wait. What do you mean my love?” I asked.

“I heard what you tried to do for me. I could feel your heart. It was so warm. To be honest, I…” She starts to blush. “I don’t really know what I’m saying at all. I, for some reason, wanted to protect you, so I ended up saving you by placing yourself inside me.”

“….Wait! You’re right here, holding me. How can I be inside you?”

“This is… my conscience. When I sleep, I can place my self conscience inside of myself, so that’s how I’m holding you right now.”

“Uh… okay. I guess that makes sense.” I didn’t have a clue of what she just said.

“I uh… I don’t want to ask you, but I need your help.”

“My… help?”

“Yes. My people are in danger. We’re being attacked, and we can hardly fight back anymore. Please…. Please help me…” She started to cry.

I didn’t know what came over me. I started to blush and I said, “Okay, I’ll help you.”

“Oh, thank you. You really are wonderful!”

“Well, uh, can you introduce yourself so I can address you in some way?”

“Yes, of course. I am sorry. My name is Princess Kani Lavitita.”

“Wow! A princess? Cool! Um… my name is Tenku.”

“Tenku… I see. May I call you Lord Tenku?”

“Hmm? Why?”

“Well, uh, I, I really, kind of…” She blushes again. “I kind of… fell for you.”

“Really?”

“Yes. I’m sorry. I know it’s so sudden. I just don’t know what is coming over me.”

“….Well, don’t worry about it. You do seem like a good girl, so I don’t mind that.”

“Tee hee. Thank you. Still, are you well enough to move yet?”

I get myself up, and Kani gets herself up as well.

“Kani, tell me,… what exactly did you say before? I didn’t understand it at all!”

“Well, I hardly understand the specifics, really. From what I can gather, however, Soul Worlds are supposed to be sanctuaries for the beings of now extinct planets.”

“Hmm… okay, I guess I understand, although to be honest, that really doesn’t sound normal. I mean… well…”

“Yes, I know it sounds unusual. Still, you must understand that we do this for some purpose. The problem is I don’t know exactly what it is.”

“Sanctuaries for beings of now extinct planets… From the way you talk about it, your more like…”

“A living shelter? Yes, I know.”
“Wait. How did you know I was going to say that?”

“Somehow, my Lord Tenku, I knew. I… somehow can read your thoughts.”

“Are you… psychic, then?”

“No. It is said; however, when an Atrini can read a person’s mind, that person is his or her destiny.”

“Destiny? Wait, you…”

“That’s why I said I believe I love you, as I can read your mind. It is kind of unusual, especially for a human, I know.”

“She really…?”

“I also know you have a girlfriend, but please, if I could just accompany you and help you toward your destiny, then I’ll be happy.”

“Uh…. Okay. I guess.”

She then smiles a big smile. “I knew that was your answer, but I preferred to hear it from you.”

“Uh… sure.” I really didn’t know what I was getting myself into.
