"See ya later, Onee-san!!" waved Kisho as he ran to his school.

"I'll pick ya up later!" Umeko waved back.

Umeko stood there, watching her brother go off to class. She smiled at the thought that Kisho was the only one who made her day worth it. He was the only one who told stories of something new and she was glad Kisho was her lil brother.

'Something new...' was all that popped into her head.

At that exact moment, the wind seemed to only revolve invisibly around her. Ignoring it, she started to head for her own school across the street. Increasing, leaves blew around her and Umeko stopped in the middle of the street.

'What's going on?!' thought Umeko in worry.

A soft beam of light, six of them, shot down from the darkening sky. Confused, Umeko looked up to the light that hit upon her.

"Where did this light come from? Wha-what is that...?" Umeko asked herself. Something small was falling from the light and landed gently in Umeko's palm.

"What is this...?" she asked. She held it up eye level and it started to glow. "Aaah!"

The gem that fell had started to glow and shot its own gentle beam into Umeko's eye, giving her a brief vision. Umeko started to see a cloaked figure running down a dark path in a forest. She was being chased by someone on a horse. The figure slipped behind dense trees and hid for a moment. While the person on the horse rode past her, the figure had enough time to have her cry answered. Umeko saw the same pearly yellow light shoot down on the figure like it did to Umeko. Then something shiny came out from the figure's heart and she fell. Umeko remembered her saying... find the One whom can protect it better than I. ....

Umeko's vision ended like it came and felt dizzy. Her vision became blurry and she staggered trying to get across the street. In the distant, she heard a fast car coming.. but wasn't sure how far before she could get to the other side of the street.

'Oh no... I can't see... I feel.. so dizzy...' she thought weakly. She was about to faint. The car was coming closer and closer. The driver was too busy looking for something in his glove compartment to see that Umeko was falling. Someone, luckily, nearby was also walking to school and saw Umeko.

"HEY! YOU IDIOT! GET OUT OF THE STREET!" yelled a person from the other side of the street.

He didn't have a choice and ran as quickly as possible to save Umeko. She had already fainted. The driver still not knowing, kept driving. The boy had lifted Umeko away in time before the car had driven on.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING?!" he asked her in shock and worry.

'I guess I have no choice if she's out like this. I'll take her to the nurse's office then... but where is that...?' he thought as he carried her to school.

Umeko looked up for a brief second to see her saviour and passed out. The gem in her hand remained clutched in her grip and the boy carried her to the school, to the nurses office. The bell had rung just in time before closing the doors.
