I slowly opened my eyes to the pulsing of pain through my body. It was so bright it took about a minute for my eyes to adjust to the light. Looking around I was in a brick room with white walls, no windows, and a table next to me with operating tools.  I have chains on my hands and feet and can not move from this spot. I can barley keep conscious it seems I have lost to much blood its all over the ground I am soaked head to toe. My back…the pain is almost to much to bare I want to scream but my throat will not allow it. What has happened to me….the last thing I can remember was me walking home, then everything is black after that. What did I do to deserve such torture. Its getting hard to breath and I can not swallow. Isn’t anyone going to save me. My heads getting heavy I can’t lift it up…
  “Lyra can you hear me, please say something Lyra…” I think someone’s calling to me, I don’t want to wake the pain hurts so much please leave me be just let me sleep…As I open my eyes I can hear a familiar voice who is it I can not tell…mother. My mother is standing next to the bed crying “Thank goodness your ok I am so sorry I shouldn’t of let you walk home from the library it was dark and….” was I saved is this just a silly dream toying with my life. I am in a hospital there are I-vs. hooked up into my hands. My back is still killing me. “wha…. What happened…where am…I” I could barley manage to speak. “Lyra your in a hospital the police got a tip from a neighbor that something was going on in the crazy mans house when the police searched his house he found you and seven other children…It looked like he was experimenting on you. When the police found you , you were unconscious chained to a wall and there was blood everywhere. The doctors are still doing test to find out exactly what he did to you” Father said, by this time mother had gone into an historical out burst of tears.
    what did he do to me.. was all I could think I can tell you.. what is this its like someone’s in my mind ahh but I am in your mind Lyra that man put me there.. What is this am I going crazy ahahah no your not crazy my name is iris my soul is intertwined with yours and your thoughts are now my thoughts, I am inside of you I have gone crazy did I develop some type of multi-personality Here I will show you what happened then will believe me.
     I was walking home from the library I was late and dark outside what is this .. I am showing you what happened  just watch. There was a man behind me, he started to freak me out so I started to run the next thing I know he hit me in the head with a bat. On the ground I laid motionless. He picked me up and through me into his car. The next thing I know I am strapped down to an operation table and I can feel the sharp tip of the scalpel slicing down my back “stop please stop it hurts so much ”I screamed and he laughed taking his cold fingers running them through my hair “it will be alright mwhahahaha” my eyes were searching the room and next to me I saw a girl she looked so lifeless he dead eyes looking straight at me
STOP STOP I DON”T WANT TO SEE THIS MAKE IT STOP PLEASE but I thought you wanted to remember no more please Tears began to run down my face “what wrong” the doctor asked “um its nothing sorry” I couldn’t tell them what was happening inside of me the would just stick me in a psychiatric ward.
