I think I said in my last entry I wasn't going to try to get evolved too much in this but this is getting out of hand. I'm seeing art thieves everywhere on this site. And so much of this art is from artists I really love or know on Deviantart.

Is there going to be an all out art war on Tokyopop? Ok maybe not really, but look at it this way on One side we have the art thieves and with them is the people who just want to see pretty pictures or think it's ok, on the other side is the original artists and with this are their supporters who love the artists or are artists themselves and don't want to see stealing of art. I’ve seen these sides butting heads a lot.

The original artists, especially those who are member of devaintart.com, are finding out that their art has been stolen by members of Tokyopop. They are trying to get the art thieves to remove their artwork off. Many artists are being contacted about this too. I know I’m going to help them anyway I can.

I heard one person say something that they have lots of pretty pictures that they collected from other sites and just wanted to post it because it was pretty and they see nothing wrong with that. YES THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THAT. It’s not your so post!!!! We need to respect the artists that drew those pretty drawings and not steal and post them where every we want. We need help teach people like that, that there is something wrong with that.

As long as the let people post picture the problem will never go away and the artist do realizes or they should. But doesn’t mean there isn't something that can be done. One idea is Tokyopop to more hire people to go through all the drawings like gaiaonline.com but some stolen art always get through so then you have a good report system. A really good report system is deviantart.com’s better than the flag, that way members can show proof. But if the going through every picture is too much for Tokyopop you can just go with a better report system. This is just some ideas of what could be done for the art thieving to go down.

Tokyopop art area was meant for your own art not other people’s art and photos are meant for photos. A drawing isn’t a photo >___< All is asked is that the member’s who have art in their account to remove it.

WARNING BUT BE CARE OF WHO YOU CALL ART THIEVES! There are some great artists on Tokyopop and just because its good art doesn’t mean it’s stolen!!!! Make sure you have proof. The same thing goes around DA and it hurts the artists and do you really want to see their go way forever? I does happen.

I really hope Tokyopop does something about this soon before the problem gets worst.
