Saiyuki
is the work of Minekura Kazuya. The story preludes the chaos that begins in Togenkyo which is the holy land where humans and demons used to live together peacefully and got along well. However after the attempt of someone to use the art of chemical and magic together from the ancient scripture to return life to Gyumao, the super demon who killed and buried in Tenjiku by Nataku Taishi, one of the five gods who ruled the heaven, Genjo Sanzo is called to Shayou Choan Palace. He is assigned to go to the west land where the chaos begins to find out who is behind all the turmoil that is rising and to stop its process. Genjo Sanzo is a sanzoboshi which is the highest rank of the monk. Joining alone the journey are Son Goku,Sha Gojyo, and Cho Hakkai whom Sanzo is assigned to work with by Kanzeonbosatsu. Kanzeonbosats is the goddess of mercy and also one of the five gods of the heaven. Sanzo didnt agree to take them along at first because the three are demons, although each of them has part human that sustains their sanity. However that is yet to be found whether he's going to beleive in his "eyes of the heart" on the view of their relationship as they rejoin. Learning more about each others' painful background, and battle together along the way to the west
