The Seikai (Crest of the Stars) novels are very well written. You can clearly visualize the story. The novels came out before the anime series began. They fill in a lot of holes that anime and manga versions left. It is also a good start to the series and a must have for fans of this series. Also, these novels would be great for those who are sci-fi and fantasy fans.
The only drawbacks to the novels are that Toykopop did not use the cover art that the original Japanese novels had. The artworks to those are very beautiful. The other was that these novels are hard to get in the stores. You can only get them online or special order them from your local bookstore. I also wished that Toykopop had advertised this series more.
I do hope that Toykopop will publish the rest of the Seikai series (Banner of the Stars 1-4 and Passage of the Stars 1-2) and future volumes as well. It would be a disservice to the fans of this series if that does not happen.

I really hope Tokyopop doesn't just stop with the crest of the stars trilogy and translates the rest of the novels. Does anyone know how many novels there are? I have enjoyed the first two and am waiting for May for the third.

All right this one seems pritty cool I will look this one up in the very near future. But does ent charters look kinda the same to Tenchen Muyo. Or is it just me -Bluecat ^^

I agree with airichan. I have also watched the anime and I think TOKYOPOP should try to capitalize on this series.

I think this is an excellent series that does not get the attention it deserves. I also hope that TP will see this series through to the end. I think that TP will find that this series has a very loyal following & their efforts will pay off in the long run.
