All of the shadows around the boy had vanished and he peered down at his love, a slight smile visible upon his beautiful lips. Gazing into his eyes Rachel found herself…looking for an answer to all her questions. Into those deep forest eyes of wonder and curiosity that had trapped her the first time. The jewels that had mesmerized her so…their first kiss... The gems that had caught her eye at first glimpse…the beautiful golden rays that surrounded the pupils that had drawn her in.

His joyous smile that matched his gorgeous eyes sent her flying. The smile that said a thousand thank-yous and screamed I love you to the world. The crease in his lips that sent her stomach in knots and tied her tongue with no words to say…that look on his face that made her want to show him she cared. The smile she loved and the smile she returned.

His voice echoed in her mind every day, repeating all the words he had said before. In memories he stayed, never to be shown the door. Always by her side, always waiting for her to call out his name…even in her dreams she heard his sweet voice. “I love you…” he said and continued to say all night. Every warm embrace was magical. Every kiss was a dream. Every moment they spent didn’t feel real but they were glad it was…

Every time they touched a message was sent. Their hearts skipped and entered a race, keeping the little moments alive. Their dreams were morphed together and were becoming reality. Ever since they were little they thought of meeting that one person they were good for. That one single person that understood them they way they needed. The person that loved them for who they were and not just their bodily uses…the person who could say “I love you,” and truly mean it. The person that was next to them right at that moment…the person that was haunting their dreams every night and would not leave.

The girl suddenly shut her eyes. How could she have been so foolish? She had looked into his eyes and he into hers. She wanted to cry but she could not. Something was stopping her. Rachel looked back up at Jamie, he was still smiling. The young girl was so confused that she fell into the arms of her lover. She did not know what to do. She did not want him to leave.

Her lips parted and she and screamed at him. “Why?! Why did you make me look into your eyes Jamie?!” Her voice had returned and she pounded against the boy’s chest. All he did was stand there, taking each fistful of anger the girl threw at him, loving it. He wanted her to be happy. If she was angry with him, she was not happy. Rachel slowed her punches and pressed herself against the boy’s chest, breathing heavily.

She could hear his heart beat. How beautiful it was to hear him still alive, still breathing. Slowly Jamie lifted a hand to the girl’s chin, directing it upward. His eyes were closed and he came suddenly down, his lips being planted on those of the young girl. So much passion and emotion could be felt within this one osculation; so much love that the girl felt weightless.

All her draperies fell to the floor in unison with Jamie’s. She felt so embarrassed yet so calm. Not once did she open her eyes again. Amongst her skin she could feel his warm lips, traveling up her arms and neck. “Ja—” The boy put a finger to her lips. “You’re so beautiful…” he said softly and caressed her lips once again. Rachel felt like her soul had left her body. She felt beautiful.

“Rachel,” Jamie started to say in between the gentle movements of his body against her own and his lips against hers. “I love you…” The young girl flushed at his words and inhaled a short breath as she began to speak. “Open your eyes…” she whispered.

The boy did as he was told and found himself lying in his bed, staring back up at his snow white ceiling. It was late at night and his room was dark. Just a dream… he thought as he shifted under his covers. “Rachel,” he whispered under his breath as he fell slowly back into the Pit. “thank you…for everything…”
