Azuri is the princess and only royal heir of the Orcans, a race of whale-merpeole who live in a fantasy environment deep within the ocean. Azuri is betrothed to Prince Unagi, leader and only royal heir of the Eel people. Their marriage was arranged by the Queen of Orca and King of Gillenok as a means to bring an end to a long history of warring between the two kingdoms.
It's a noble plan, and Princess Azuri graciously agrees to this arrangement because she wants to do what's right for her people while pleasing her mother. How could she know she would soon regret the agreement when she falls in love with someone else?

Wow, I cannot even imagine a manga any cuter than Sea Princess Azuri. The coolest thing about Azuri is that she's not a wimpy girly-girl longing for the prince to save her. Nope—she's a daring adventurer who knows what she wants and how to get it—and always has tons of fun along the way. Erica Reis is one of our most talented artists—it truly blows me away that she's still a college student. Even our Editor-in-Chief fell in love with this book! Give it a try...you won't be disappointed.

The concept is interesting puts a whole different spin on merpeople. I was almost put off though but the cover looked too childish and girly but in all actuality it is a pretty good manga. Might actually consider collecting it...

I didn't think I'd like this *shudder* so pink...but my love of "mermaids" out weighed my distaste for pink things...and this manga is adorable!!

Amazing! First looking at the cover, I wasn't sure I'd like it: I'm usually into 'darker' stuff... But the art is so great and the characters so endearing that now, I just can't wait for more! The story is also interesting and I want to know where it is going. We need Volume 2 already!! :D
