Well having been to Japan for 4 months, it does seem like the Japanese like to put Mayo on everything... especially pizza >.> Seriously, you have to search hard to find a pizza place that will serve you pizza without mayo on it in Japan!! Too bad I don't like mayo ^_^;;

Yes, add some more salt-sauce to your MSG, woo hoo! Sorry, I live on a pretty low-sodium diet because my dad has hypertension, so imaging all the salt that's in there just makes me cringe! *shivers* But really - mayo?! I guess it would thicken the soup up more, but it's still hard to imagine. I like to make mine like Misato - add in some curry sauce. ^_~
