Join Erica Reis, the creator of Sea Princess Azuri, at a special signing for volume two of her original manga on Saturday, February 23, from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Pages For All Ages Bookstore in Savoy, Illinois.

Sea Princess Azuri follows the adventures of Azuri, the mermaid princess and the only royal heir of the Orcans, a race of whale-merpeople that lives in a fantasy environment deep within the ocean. Azuri is betrothed to Prince Unagi, leader of the Eel people. Their marriage is arranged as a means to bring peace to two kingdoms. But soon Azuri falls in love with Thalo, a royal Orcan guard, and her world falls apart! Soon, Princess Azuri is faced with the most difficult decision of her life: Should she save the world or follow her heart?!

Erica Leigh Reis (like Reese! or Reis's Pieces) started life as a tomboy. Now, however, she has reconciled with the color pink and is making up for lost time. Born in the heart of Austin, Texas, Erica graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design (where she met her fiancé Matthew) and has written and drawn two volumes of her original manga for TOKYOPOP, Sea Princess Azuri, as well as a short story in Princess Ai: Rumors from the Other Side. Erica enjoys role-playing, animated movies, naps, fantasy, transforming robots, the internets, and of course, drawing.
