Time Flies
Wow, I can't believe it's been more than 6 months since I was on TP!
A lot has happened in that time; I'm now living in Syracuse, NY, and taking a few college courses while assistant teaching at a traditional catholic boarding school, and getting training to take over teaching the 3rd grade for next year.
Being up here for the winter is definitely a huge change from never having left Florida; though, admittedly, the wonder of seeing snow for the first time faded pretty quickly. Snow is pretty, but very cold,
no kidding, right?
At any rate, teaching is really strange; I feel like I'm pretending all the time.
Oddly enough, the other teachers I've spoken to seem to have the same feeling sometimes.
C'est la vie, eh?
Is that what being grown up is? Pretending you know what you're doing when you're only giving it your best guess?

well...i've been in this fun dump for 2 years...so i've been in all versions of tp...the very original was a fun simple time....the amount of users was about right to make a nice and tight community...plus it was a creative one too...with writers and artists galour...we marveled at each other's work (this gave way to the art theft accusation period)...learned from my superiors and surpassed them very quickly...after that i got a small period of being locally famous with my philosphy poetry and romantic fictions while all the refining my art...after that there was this whole period of "online gfs"...many were hurt...i was careless....ran an anti-perve campaign and cleaned up tp by alot...then the new version of tp came along (1.5)...main thing that happened? ppl started putting music players/vid players on their profiles but embeding them there...at there own risk though as the profiles were not designed for that...getting a fraction of the population fall victim to the "crashed profiles plague"...the site started getting invaded by noobism and general idiot that either didn't like manga or they were fixated on the stupid ones (u can only take a few naruto and dbz blogs...a bit much wen they get to 50 a day)....afterwards...porn profiles started appearing...the site was cut in a segmant 30%/70% i think...supportors/non-supportors...of course...i wa a non-supportor...girl friend wasn't but we both new it would be petty to fight over it and she did know that youngsters were being affected....eventually tp got cleaned up (not sure all were deleted tho but there aren't enough to cause an impact)....then tp you know now came....too many people uploading to the point of everyone ignoring each other/closing themselves off in small groups...and a clan system that was just a retarded idea all together since no one did anything...alot of the artists/writers left the site and those who remain are too few to make a real impact as the "chatter boxes" (ppl who really shouldn't be there...because they're not here for tp...they here to spam, flame, art theft, fake, pose and pimp...but...there are still a few good people...and so i have the good sense to keep those kohai going...call meh sempai oif ya want...lol jk...well half jk
