In one quick, smooth motion, she stepped forward, kicked the already twice-hit side of my face, and went back into the circle of Derek's arm. I fell down onto my knees again, seeing dots, and tried to think of a plan to get both her and I out. My body temperature was quickly rising along with my anger. I started channeling all of the excess heat down my arms to my wrists, trying to melt the cuffs. Curiously, Jess started sniffing the air.

     "Guards, I think she's hungry again," as Derek told his guards this, I was hauled to my feet and stood slightly unsteadily as they took a step back.

     Jess started walking towards me, being led by her nose. She was soon so close I could smell her feminine fragrance under the thick scent of her cuts. She licked the bloody side of my face and let my blood soak into her tongue savoring my flavor.

     Finally the metal of the cuffs was heated to a soft mush. Quickly I pulled my wrists apart, breaking the cuffs. Not stopping he direction of my arms, I swung them around and slammed my palms onto either side of the glasses on Jess's face. As she fell to the ground, the glasses started clinking off from around her eyes bit by bit. Guards immediately surrounded us as Jess looked up questing to me with her beautiful opaque eyes.

     "Jay? Where are we?"
