"What do you want", Rina knew that she was pushing her luck being so straight forward to this guy, but all of a sudden she was to tired to care. They where after all on a semi-official street, there where people close by, what could he do? Probably more than I can imagine, the though wasn't really welcome, but still she couldn't help but to let it take place.
He was a dangerous person, everything from the cigarette on the ground to the calm, cold gaze he laid upon her told her that. This was someone that you shouldn't play with, someone that would hit back with full force if you attacked him.
"Nothing", he answered her after having stared at her for a moment, "you are of no interest to me". The tone of his voice told her that this was completely true, she didn't mean anything to him.
On the other hand, why would she? They had never met until now, and all they had in common was that one look. And that look had only been there because her classmates had let her get to the window, it was a pure coincidence. Of course he must have been there for some reason, but the reason was not to meet her.
"What where you doing at my school", it's a stupid question, one that he will of course not answer, but she couldn't stop herself from saying it anyway. Whatever had happened this guy had been involved somehow, which meant that he was partially to blaim for her disturbed day, the inconvinience it got her in having to go home from school earlier. She knew that she should be much more scared than she was but the feeling of indignation was taking over.
"I like my days to be all the same", it was no idea to wait for him to answer her question, he wouldn't to that. The words that came out of her mouth was the ones of the spoiled kid she looked like to him, just the ones you would expect from the queen. No distrubance, nothing out of the ordinairy.
"Of course you do princess", the condecending tone was still very much there but he didn't look at her anymore. Instead he had taken a old looking cellphone out of his pocket and was dialing a very long number on it. Without saying anything more he lifted it to his ear and waited. A little wrinkle apeared on his straight nose, it got bigger for every signal that went by. Obviously this was also a person that expected an answer whenever he wanted one, no excuses.
Why am I standing here? Rina wondered for herself. She didn't know this person, didn't like him either, and now he wasn't even talking to her. No one treated her like this, at least hadn't in a very long time, and still she stood here waiting for him to hang up like they where hanging out or something.
"Idiot", the guy finally put the phone back in his pocket. He looked pissed now and Rina had to pull from all the self preservation she had to not back off and leave. Some people hurt others when they looked like this, she knew that., she was much more awar of how the world works than people thought.
"What are you still doing here", once again all focus was on her, "don't you have a driver that's going to pic up your skinny bottom somewhere?". If the comment had come from anyone else there would probably have been jealousy in it, most people wanted to have a life like hers, like the one they thought she had. But in his voice where nothing like that.
"No", the question, a sign that he somewhat wanted to continue the conversation, if you could call it that, had made her feel happy. She didn't understand why, couldn't even guess, but the feeling was there nonetheless.
"Strange", he muttered, "I though you all did". Rina could not help but to wonder what he based that conclusion on. Of course most people that lived in the arean had their own idea about the fancy school kids, but he didn't look like he lived here. People where well polised here and they always acted polite.
He didn't, he was different.
