Hey- since you seem to be interested in Greek Gods... it so happens that I have a story up, entitled "Beauty", that is a retelling of the story of Eros and Psyche (if you've heard of them, which I hope you have...). The names have been changed, but the story is basically the same except for it has more elements and a few variations in plot. And Eros is a vampire! Well, it'd be great if you could check it out. Persephone was painting flowers, and Hades "captured" her to be his queen. As long as she didn't eat the fruit of the underworld, she wasn't bound to it, but Hades had a minion tempt her into eating part of a pomegranate. When her mother rescued her, Hades refused to give her up, saying that she had already ate the fruit. In the end, they agreed to "shared custody", and she spends six months in the underworld, and six months on Earth. We have fall and winter because Her mother is grieving her absence, and we have spring and summer because she has returned to paint the flowers.

I'm in mythology right now, so I've actually read that. Persephone (or Kory beforehand) was picking flowers but wandered away from her friends. Hades is scanning the earth for any cracks to avoid light penetrating to the underworld. She's in the underworld for 4 months I believe. Maybe 3, because the season of winter is based on her returning to the Underworld.
