Oh, did I say we were going to go puddle jumping yesterday? My mistake. We were going wallowing instead.






But great fun was had by-- I won't say "all". I mostly just supervised while she gave herself a mud bath. Then I tossed her in the bath when we got home. She really did have a blast playing in it all and I used to adore getting knee deep in mud and then hosing down when I was younger. If I didn't have to carry her inside to wash her off, I probably would have participated.

The morning storms yesterday contributed to some great puddles and a good deal of mud. I'm surprised at how strong the winds must have been. There was debris thrown everywhere! We had maple leaves in our garden and the nearest maple tree is all the way up the block. Huge limbs were just twisted off and one had fallen on a powerline nearby causing a brown out at our house (and knocking out our internet for most of the afternoon). Then, the rest of the day went from overcast to sunny as can be with a nice breeze!

We're expecting more storms tonight. I wonder if they'll be just as fierce.
