Ahh Eye Shield 21 sports manga at it’s best. Eye Shield 21 will teach you everything you need to know about American football well still maintaining a decent story line and jokes. Some sport manga might not teach you everything you need to know about the game and it might not have a good storyline or jokes but with Eye Shield you will learn tactics and game plans which are ideal for anyone learning how to play American football and anyone looking for new ideas and ways of playing American football.

Sena has been picked on all his life. Starting high school won’t be any different, but being the run around boy Sena has leaned how to get from a to b fast. Yoichi has seen his skill and managed to get Sena to join the American football team but Sena will if to use his skill to stay on Yoichi’s good side or else he may end up looking into a barrel of gun. Under the disguise of Eye Shield 21 Sena becomes a runner for the team.

Only problem is Mamori has been trying  to project Sena since he was little but being a year older means she started high school a year before him but now she can finally look after Sena the only problem he’s joined the football team and the football isn’t exactly a nice sport so she decides to join the team to keep an eye on Sena and to see that Sena doesn't come to no harm. Yoichi not exactly one to pick on a girl but he doesn’t want to lose Sena so he disguises Sena as the team manager but the football team is a few players short and it’s a mangers job to get players in. Sena going to if to learn it all while keeping Eye Shield’s identity a secret from Mamori, he’ll soon learn and with everyone one’s help they may even win the cup.

It’s funny I didn’t think guns and football would work but Eye Shield makes it work well this with it’s other humour makes learning the rules of American football fun even I have learnt the rules and I didn’t know much about American football before reading Eye Shield 21. Eye Shield 21 is a must for read for any American football fan and sports manga fan I give Eye Shield 21 a 5/5 and if I was an American football fan it would defiantly go on my to get list even know. I’ll still happily read every volume my local library has got I have enjoying reading volume 1 to7 please feel free to read my other reviews and blogs. There’s an anime but it’s only available in English subtitles.
